Description
She didn't know how long she had been running but she finally stopped as her legs were tired. From her spot on the roof, she spotted empty swings below. She gracefully glided onto the ground, taking a seat on the first swing. Once she made sure she was alone, she freely let her emotions out. The anger she felt, the sadness that overwhelmed her, the fact that she almost hurt Minato, all those emotions overflowed. She looked at the katana in her lap. She didn't deserve it. Her father had such high expectations for her. But she failed. She couldn't protect her father, her sensei, or even herself. She didn't deserve her mother's katana.

"I'm sorry, Mama," she sobbed, her tears dropping onto the sheath. She took it and threw it away from her, it clanging to the ground several feet away from her.

"Didn't anyone ever teach you not to throw your sword?"

Emiri looked up and wiped her tears away. Leaning against the wall was one of the shinobi from before. Kakashi Hatake. He had premature silver-white hair held up by a headband. The lower half of his face was covered by a mask. He watched her, seemingly uninterested.

"Why are you crying?" Kakashi asked.

Emiri looked away, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Wouldn't you like to know," she said quietly.

Kakashi tilted his head, "What was that?"

"I said, 'wouldn't you like to know'!" she yelled at him. She turned to him, but he wasn't there. "Huh?"

"Actually I would like to know."

"Ahh!" Emiri cried in surprise at Kakashi's sudden presence on the swing next to her. She fell backwards off the swing with an "Oof". She propped herself up on her elbows, glaring at Kakashi.

"Don't look at me like that, I didn't do anything."

"Did too! You snuck up on me!"

Kakashi shrugged indifferently. Then he went over Emiri's katana and picked it up. "This is nice. How'd you manage to get this?"

Emiri didn't answer right away. "It was my mother's," she mumbled.

"I can't hear you when you talk like that," said Kakashi, unsheathing the katana.

"I said it was my mother's!" Emiri exclaimed, irritated that he took out something that wasn't his. "Are you deaf so that everyone has to yell at you?!"

Kakashi sheathed the katana. "No, just you."

So I've been wanting to do something related to my Naruto fanfic and practice some more fake screenshots so I thought, why not do both! This is one of my favorite scenes from my fanfic. I was going to draw the entire thing but it was bit extensive for attention span so I condensed it into a shorter scene. I'm very pleased with it (still working on backgrounds so don't judge).
