This is a fan comic about the Crimson Corsair and his crew after the events of The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku .
At the end of that short story, the Clone Trooper Kix joins the crew and they are in the possesion of a Separatist memory core with the coordinations of all hidden factories. This comic picks up when they've visited most of those, and they all turned out to be empty already. Will the last one prove to be different?

So! The Aleena was commisioned by the Separatists to build a new kind of Battle Droid, one that could rival the clone trooper in battle prowess and individual thinking. Essentially they're made up from the best parts of the other Battle Droids: the utilities of normal Battle Droids, the firepower of a Super Battle Droid, they're as nimble as the Commando Droid, processors on par with Tactical Droids. Their left arm is equipped with limited Astromech-like tools, and can generate a small force field (though not as powerful as those of Droideka's). Only disadvantage: they would've been super expensive.
This was an initiatiative from a local separatist leader who wanted to climb the ranks. But in trying to keep this a secret, they made the mistake of placing it in a very remote part on Raxus Prime. The chronic storms from that specific area fried most of the facility's systems and the Aleena engineer spend the rest of his life locked up in that room, finishing the design. The Battle Droids turned into Junk Droids because the Aleena tinkered with their programming to make them more independent. So when the power went away they tried to find a solution to stay 'alive'.

This all is pretty silly, I am aware of that. But it is the kind of over the top tale I wanted to tell with these characters. Tomorrow the conclusion!

Dit is een fan-strip over de Crimson Corsair en zijn crew na de gebeurtenissen van The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku .
Aan het einde van dat kortverhaal sluit de Clone Trooper Kix zich aan bij de bemanning, en hebben ze een Separatistische memory core bemachtigd met de locaties van alle geheime fabrieken. Deze strip begint wanneer ze naar de meeste hebben bezocht, en die waren allemaal al leeg. Zal de laatste anders zijn?

Dus! De Aleena kreeg de opdracht van de Separatisten om een nieuw soort Battle Droid te maken, één die op hetzelfde niveau zou zijn als een clone trooper, in bijvoorbeeld gevechtstechniek en individueel denken. Op zich zijn ze gewoon opgebouwd uit de beste stukken van de andere Battle Droids: de veezijdigheid van de normale Battle Droid, de vuurkracht van de SuperBattle Droid, ze zijn even beweegelijk en lenig als de Commando Droids en ze hebben processors van hetzelfde kaliber als Tactical Droids. In hun linkerarm zit een beperkte hoeveelheid Astromech-achtige gereedsschappen en een krachtveld generator (maar niet zo krachtige als die van een Droideka). Enige minpunt, zou zoouden superduur zijn geweest om te produceren

Maar om dit zo geheim mogelijk te houden maakten ze de fout dit in een heel afgelegen plaats op Raxus Prime te doen. Toen de elektriciteit uitviel zochten ze dus naar een manier om aan te blijven staan.
