~sashas Tutorial reversioned for the GIMP. Sorry for it's suckishness :

Original Tutorial: [link]

This is mostly just a reference for GIMP settings, I've learned after doing this for a little while that you just have to really get a feel for it. There's a lot of Ctrl+Z involved.

Anyway, hope this helps, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask ^^

THANK YOU! This helps a LOT!!! ^^

I have one thing to ask though..:
When I draw my lines with the path tool, set my anchors and stuff, and all that good stuff, my lines don't come out near as clean as yours does.. I was just wondering why that is..

Anyways, Great Tutorial! ^^

Thank you so much for this! It's been helping me. However, I'm having a couple of problems. No matter what I do my lines don't come out as smooth as yours, and for some reason the lines are thin in some places and thick in others. I can't seem to get it right!!

What I will have to do?
Please, help.

Every time I get to the "Stroke Path" and then selecting "Stroke," my computer shuts out of the program! I don't know what's wrong with either my computer or the fact that I have Gimp 2? Do you know what the problem could be?

actually i do have a question:

how do i keep the lines from getting too thick? at the moment, i'm working on the hair section of my character and i intended SOME of the lines to be thin :/
do i just adjust the brush size continuously throughout the process?

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

myuu-myuu [2011-06-12 19:25:09 +0000 UTC]

it's a bit of a challenge, that is, trying to get those darn anchors to do what i want. i have used the paths tool before and SORTA succeeded. but it's been about a year since then.

anyway, thanks so much for this tutoriaaaaaaaaaaaaal
