Yes, I am aware that I threw logic out the window... Also, I do plan to get reply to the 38 things in my inbox, just not at the moment...Rules: (Yes, I know you hate them, but I gotta have them.)
Write something worth reading! This is a biggie. I simply will not respond to horrible starting posts. Bad comments later on will receive a warning. (Likely after I ignore it for a few days)
Paragraph form, not script form.
No having an overpowered character!
Nothing fatal.
No swearing. (you can say that they swore, or use something like 'Dang frizzle frazzle phooey to the nth degree,' but don't actually swear. (Also, interwebz cookie to the first person to name where I got that from.))
No fetish related stuff.
No sex. None. I won't RP that.
Also, no switching on this one.

The rest of the day went by just fine. Chris pushed the doctor's visit out of his mind, his fear of needles that had kept him from retrieving proper treatment too...

At the end of the day, Rojer made supper. He placed a bowl of the fruit Chris had picked on the table, readily accessible.

Chris came in, walking, sniffling a little. He looked up, starting up the table with the ladder Rojer had gotten him. "That smells really good. Am I getting some of that with the fruit?"

"Of course," Rojer answered. He placed a platter of food on the table as well. "Shudo, poiv, ravivaot," he said, pointing at the rice, meat, and potatoes in turn. Carefully adding a gravy bowl with brown meat gravy in it, he added, "iqug j'shixe."
(("Juh-Shicksee" is the closest I can think of to write how that sounds in my head.))

Chris tilted his head. That was a lot, but he tried. He pointed to the meat. "S-shudu."

Rojer shook his head, gently moving Chris's hand to be pointing at the rice.

Chris smiled, sniffling. He pointed to the meat, remembering the one it actually was. "Poiv."

Rojer smiled, pleased. "Very good!" he praised.

Chris looked very proud of himself. "Jaag!" he grinned, remembering that one. He seemed to be on a roll with this now.

Chris concentrated. "Hm...is that 'really good'?" he inquired.
(I translated "very", actually.)

"Xoshe?" Rojer asked.
((Hm... Chris might try to say it and it comes out like "kiss-oh-she"))

"The 'ks' is faster, but more or less, yes," Rojer said.

"Xoshe." Rojer said. "Xo-sheh"
((I guess it's more of a mix between 'ks' and 'z' ... x's are kinda hard to say. It doesn't sound like a z like in xylophone, though.))

Chris looked confused. "Uh...maybe I'm not good at pronouncing that one yet."

Rojer shrugged. "Alright," he said. "There are tricky sounds." He thought a moment. "Can you say obv'shopone?"
(('Obv' as in the first part of obvious, then 'sho' like the slang for 'sure' and then 'po-neh'))

Rojer nodded. "Poe-neh, not pone, but otherwise perfect," he said with a grin. "That one means about the same thing as xoshe."

Chris nodded. "It'll at least get my point across." He'd keep learning if it made Rojer happy like this. He enjoyed seeing him happy too.

Chris rolled his eyes teasingly, but obliged. He ate with Rojer, smiling. He was vocal about it being really good, too. He wondered where Rojer had learned and then remembered how to cook.

It was pretty good...no, really good, to Chris. He finished his bit of food rather quickly.
