first thank you to ~rain-stock for the lovely image
this is one of my first poems ever written
just visualizing it~Oh, be still!
My impatient and heavy heart.
Whispering thoughts of you envelope
my unprotected and vivid imagination-
making every tick of the grandfather clock
seem as though eternity could not be more eternal~
Your memories aroma thickens
choking my senses of anything but you...
impairing my already clouded actions
for without you -
clarity is lost...
as are you.
I seek you, My Love.
You are the only oxygen
I wish to breathe!
Suffocation would be more pleasurable
than another breath of this tar - filled air.
Without your touch i am gasping
for what only one can give.
Please, revive me.
Help me regain my strength
and replenish this empty room
you left so abruptly...
leaving my stomach to heave
as i am thrashing wildly
in the darkness
Still searching for your embrace
to satiate my rapacious soul
Until then.
Here I am.

I like all the references to breathing, tar filled air, rather suffacte etc... i love it. love and yearning do truly affect ones breathing.

someone once told me the more you look and the harder you search for love the less you will find it! and also if you just let life happen and don't look so hard, love will find you when you absolutely least expect it. i think that is so true! i believe this, because it happened to me. i wanted to be loved and have love so bad, that i settled for anything and anyone. i had that horrible relationship that i wrote about in :because he never hit me". i broke up with that asshole and was hell bent on staying single for awhile. then i met my hubby. who fell amazingly enough head over heals in love with me. it scared me, because he asked me to marry him on like our 3rd date. i told him he was crazy. he said you just wait and see. i know you are my destiny. and he was right. we have been married for 7 years. and have 2 wonderful baby peanut girls! when you don't look is when you will find it!

I've been going nuts... I started one right as the servers went ga-ga a couple nights ago. I was one of the unfortunate folks who couldn't access much of anything, so I wound up with 30 posts before I even got a chance to start with my promised 4 comments and a pageview for each post.
