i.You’ll never know how scared I am.
If you look deep enough,
Though,
You would see me shiver at the slightest breeze.

ii. I am not afraid of water anymore.
I used to sit by the pool
Watching children play
Thinking about innocence, and how I felt different.
My mother would tell me to join them.
"It is childish" I would say. ~ She would then remind me that I was only seven.

I didn’t believe her.

iii. My mouth is dry from imagining yours touching it.
Swirling together are my anxieties and my perception of what I look like.
On the inside.
I am scared you see and I turn my head. I turn my head back, laughing. I am
Just being comical – you aren’t there anyways.

iv. Trying to find a pencil is hard
Sometimes
And it seems like the only thing I find these days are dried up pens.
If they do work, they are the wrong color and I lose my concentration.
I fear the color purple for some reason.
Maybe because that is a strange color for a man to love,
But you did.

v. My stomach doesn’t settle anymore and I want to cut it out.
You never told me you wanted to leave
But you still did
Then the water broke and flooded my mind ruining everything beautiful about you
I am not afraid of water anymore, though.
