I think the reason I like Mer-Man is because of the gargly voice they gave him in the Filmation " He-Man & the Masters o' the Universe " cartoon. I took some liberties again and did a mish-mash-dealie with his head. It's the Filmation cartoon head but with the scaly doodads on his mouth based on the original Mattel art for the back of the action figure package. I also like him because he just looks funny to me. His sword reminds me or corn. I'm Crazy-Corn-Sword! I have a sword made out of corn! GIMME SOME CANDY!Related content

Haha! I Really got a kick out of your description. I too always thought Mer-Man had the least menacing looking sword, because it looks like a giant corn on the cob. And the " I'm crazy corn sword! Gimme some candy!", cracked me up! It reminded me of that old Adam Sandler skit from SNL. "I'm crazy pickle arm! Gimme some candy!" Anyway, nice job on Mer-Man.

I believe so. And it wasn't until shortly after when I discovered that the "merman" is an ancient myth like the vampire, werewolf, zombie, and the centaur.

We are mentally linked I tell ya. You did him perfect here. I always loved the character and I think I took it out on my Mer-Man figure on a personal level. Because his head looked like a green terrified skunk beast.
The melding of the styles has made him a perfect character. The fact we haven't seen Live-Action or CGI Mer-Man in a theater is a sin.

Coolness. The original head sculpt actually looks like some sort of foreign knock-off more than anything. The filmation cartoon was why I started liking Mer-man cuz I found his voice amusing. Back then, to me, his voice was on the original side. I was only 9 or 10 though.
I was almost just gonna give him the Filmation head but the scaly-mustache seemed cool.

Yeah, Stinkor was just a Mer-Man repaint with Mecaneck's armor and a blue shield. Strangely, the original Mer-man head looks more like a skunk than a ...fish guy.
