EDIT 10/05/2015: Fehnryr suggested an amazing site for editing your traditional art pics if you want an alternative from photoshop & softwares. Use www.ribbet.com/ Β to raise contrasts, make colors pop and make your pics as great as the real life drawings! Thank you Fehryr for the suggestion!!
EDIT 10/04/2016: It's that time of the year again! how are your inktobers going?

Thank you so much! I usually ink my drawings with a regular Bic pen, and they look awesome at last. You can make the lines smooth and thin or thick and shaky in a really easy way, so it makes that job way easier (I work using the tips you posted in the tutorial almost authomatically). But when it comes to digital inking I'm a total noob xD This has helped me a lot, thank you!

Very good tutorial. First of all, I learnt that "inking" meant drawing in pen over the pencil lines (I thought you were talking about colouring / filling).Β
I'll try to remember your tips for traditional. I always find my inked drawings lifeless compared to my pencil sketches, I struggle to show movement (even with still characters they need to look like they can move). I have learnt that it is better to move with a smooth motion than to slowly sketch it across. I draw far too heavy-handed, so this can be tricky, and I try not to get too hung up on mistakes. I've been accused of not holding a pen properly by my art teacher (10yrs ago), apparently I had to have a special pencil early on in school to train my cack-handedness (which I do not recall at all), but apparently that has not made much difference. I've tried holding it the "right" way, I just can't seem to do it.
I can give you some hints for scanning. I usually scan at 600 dpi - this gives a nice detail without taking too long to scan (I tried 1200 dpi, it ends up crashing!), in a PNG file (this makes it a horrendous size, so I often reduce the size of the image to Document). JPEG is fine for simpler things / straight to Internet. Scans do not always pick up subtler colours, they might show heavy pencil lines as heavier than they are, and I often have to reduce brightness/lightness due to the white parts of the paper gleaming back, and up the contrast to bring out the blacks.
For digital filling, scanning at JPEG pulls up too much data/different coloured pixels, so filling will be a pain. I often scan to BMP black and white (black is then black and white is then white obviously), and then fill in either Paint or GIMP. Thicker lines are picked up better, thinner lines may look more pixellated. Harder pencil lines may be picked up, so sometimes I fill the black lines I want in green, fill the white with black, then fill them back to the original colours, to remove any unwanted dots/pixels and have a cleaner picture.
