Description
Some of the exercises from lesson 2.I really liked the last exercise. I didn't know that drawing intersections would be such a challenging task. I've never done something like that before and it required a lot of effort to get the lines the way I wanted.

Hey man, nice to see you working on lesson 2! I wish I could give you more advice on form dissections and intersections, but I still am not comfortable with those yet. I do have some advice on your contour lines, though. They aren't wrapping around the form correctly. You need to make it look like it is tuuuurning around the edge of the form and continues on the side we can't see. This is why we practice it with ellipses first, which I recommend you do if you have not already. Still, it is often tricky to take that feeling of drawing ellipses to drawing the contour alone. Make sure you aren't just drawing arcing lines that don't describe the form.
For a better explanation of this, watch this video again: Organic Forms and Contour Lines . And keep practicing! It takes time to learn all these skills. I don't want any crit I give to sound like criticism, or a list of failures. This is just the stuff you want to work on, the areas where you can push to that next level of skill. Just by doing these lessons, you are improving. Keep having fun. XD

Thanks!
You're right that I should practice more with ellipses as contour lines. After drawing a few forms with ellipses I quickly moved to drawing just arcs and then tried to "follow the curve of the object". As you can see, it didn't turn out very well I started drawing strange lines that in no way help the object to look more 3D.
I really appreciate your comments. They're not just "a list of failures". You give useful tips and suggestions that definitely will help me improve. And your advice encourages me to practice even more!

I've done a whole bunch of organic forms with ellipses, and I still have a bit of trouble wrapping the arcs around the forms correctly. It is a bit tricky. But practice makes perfect. Just try a page of organic forms with ellipses, and then draw a page of organic forms with contour lines only, trying to keep that same feeling of the line wrapping around the form! It's fun.
I'm very happy to hear that! That's exactly what I'm trying to do with these comments, and why I created DrawaBox group in the first place. Looking forward to seeing your next bunch of homework!!
