Flashlight and Flash in general have been guilty pleasures for a long time but I’ve recently been getting back into mlp and my old guilty pleasure ship. I’m well aware that Flash is an under developed character but I feel like through context clues and the eg shorts, your can kind of surmise more of his character. I think he’s maltreated by the writers because I think that male representation would have been good for the show, especially during the time when male characters weren’t given much screen time. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with having a crush. I would have loved to see them move from a crush onto a friendship with the pony ver. since he’d be easier to develop, it would have been super cute. I guess I’m just ranting here cause I have no one to talk about this with lol
