I'm an atheist, and this is an immature strawman argument. Juvenile, really. You are no better than the "crazy theists" you're whining about. 
And it's stupid to hate a character/person you don't even believe the existence of. Actually, it's counter-productive, too.
And Jesus Christ was a pacifist in the Bible-- which, by the way, was written by multiple individuals over the course of a few decades (I don't really know about the time range- sorry)-- so unless this is supposed to be a joke, it is a poorly told, inaccurate joke that is only applicable to the small, yet irritating (or dangerous) fringe groups practicing an ersatz version of Christianity or Catholicism to serve their own aims.
Indeed, it is problematic how some people in the United States do things like forbid the teachings of evolution and other scientific theories in public schools, and how others are doing all they can to invalidate the Roe v. Wade ruling completely (making it nearly impossible for poor and middle class women to get an abortion) or forbid the use of contraceptives and other safe sex methods-- despite the establishment clause of the First Amendment, and the Fourteenth Amendment in general. Not only are those things illegal, they're self-righteous and unfair.
...just trying to be rational about this.

I hereby recant all earlier statements regarding Jesus. Starting now, I will stop being so self-righteous, and follow the example of The One who convinced me to do so.
