I remember some schmuck tried to say that this is a mistranslation and that the kids were actually making fun of Elisha for being religious(a lot of saints at the time shaved their heads) AND that the kids were actually young men, not children....So basically, this guy was saying it was okay because god said he didn't like to be mocked (Galatians 6:7)and that the kids were actually men so they were liable to what happened to them ....
