Description Made in collaboration with my friend at Going to Hell For Laughing over on facesuck.

BTW, it's not that I believe this stuff. I actually dig Jesus the man and his lessons about love. It's when it got tainted with Hell and all that fear mongering that I shake my head. I know it's possible many christian believers are going to call foul, and I welcome that. But understand this is just to point out the fallacy of saying Jesus/God has unconditional love but contradicting that with the threat of Hell and infinite torture as punishment for not believing. It simply doesn't make sense to my brain.

Enjoy!

Actually, hell isn't guaranteed to have fire. Some depictions of it have it as rather cold. The main reason why people suffer there is because people suffer without the presence of God, and Hell is a place where God really doesn't exist, so their souls suffer as if they were starved in a concentration camp. But hey, you wanted God out of your life, remember?

But then, when souls realize they regret not being with God and actually want to askΒ  him for forgiveness, God won't let them in. That is not unconditional love at all.

No, because sins committed without knowing that they were sins can be forgivable. You go to hell for doing things that you know are wrong, yet you do it anyways.

Some people have a hardened heart and it takes many centuries in hell to ask for forgiveness. I don't see why God would not allow a last chance after letting them suffer alone with their wrongs. And I bet many of these souls did these wrongs because the God full of Vengeance did not do something fast enough. Either do it, God or don't and let us know WHEN you will avenge us for the hurt someone put us through.

Don't make me laugh. Many people who do evil things know it's wrong, but do it anyways. Personal experience and history has taught me that not every evildoer has just some misguided twat with a problem.

I think they do it for the thrill of having control. Still, why don't God turn us into mindless robots if he wants the sins to stop? By now, he must know very well that it doesn't work to give free will. Heck, he could put us in a happy trance for all eternity and make us do whatever he wants, without us ever complaining. Wouldn't that be Paradise Found?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-11-30 16:37:45 +0000 UTC]

Do you want to become a mindless robot, then? To live in a trance of false happiness?

You're acting like free will gets intruded by all sorts of things. Free will is free will. The people in hell are there because they knew that being evil is wrong, and they chose it anyways.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sampea In reply to Vader999 [2018-11-30 17:02:39 +0000 UTC]

Well, at least in a trance, no danger that any of us will ever commit sin, again.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-11-30 19:34:33 +0000 UTC]

Then go for it. Put yourself in a trance. Take away your own free will. Those of us who choose the Lord out of our own free will won't be bothered by that.

But...don't you find it weird that God punishes at the mere offense of complaining about a difficult journey in the desert after leaving Egypt? Or, say command to rape women of a town and kill everything else? Or that Lot wasn't punished after offering his daughters for the men of Sodome to rape?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-01 03:21:15 +0000 UTC]

He punishes them because He proved to them that He can provide for them anything they want, and they still hated Him anyways. They could have just asked Him for help, like bringing animals for them to kill, or leading them to a riverbed to drink, but they chose to antagonize someone who quite literally went on a Divine Shock and Awe campaign.

Everyone committed to the whole "rape and murder" shtick back then. God still had to work with the world the humans presented to Him, and it was the norm for winning tribes to take the women as prizes and wipe out everyone else. Besides, that's what the enemy would have done if they didn't. The men would just rebel, and the women would join in with them.

Lot was scared. Many people, if life was at risk, would make all sorts of crazy offers to live.

But not offer one's child for rape, right? And humans will complain a little onΒ  hard journey, that doesn't mean they deserve to die.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-01 23:30:01 +0000 UTC]

Child rape is forbidden. Any sex that isn't between consenting married adults for the sake of child-bearing is sin. The Ten Commandments is clear on this. Rape of a woman forces you to be her husband to care for her, because custody battles and laws were harsher back then.

I see. So, any bisexual, transgender, homosexual and the like is a disgusting sin? Or a married couple that decides not to have children?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-02 15:39:00 +0000 UTC]

The latter isn't sinful; in fact, some saints were married couples who failed to have kids. The former is.

Well, a bisexual who has kids with the opposite sex is somewhat passing for the system.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sampea In reply to Vader999 [2018-12-02 17:20:21 +0000 UTC]

I see that you are a traditional christian in every sense of the word, am I right? And by a married couple that does not have children, I meant a couple that decides, of their own free will never to have children, because they would rather be free adults who are already fulfilled by their careers, each other and their relationship with God.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-02 19:28:55 +0000 UTC]

That's their decision to not have children. Saint Paul said that sometimes, not having kids/marriage is the vocation. And not having kids isn't a sin.

Also, I don't detest homosexuals or other sexual deviants. It just doesn't change the fact that what they do goes against their natural purpose.Β

sampea In reply to Vader999 [2018-12-02 22:05:33 +0000 UTC]

''Natural purpose''? I thought you just said that humans are not obliged to procreate.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-02 22:40:04 +0000 UTC]

But their genitals are made for procreation. So if they are going to pork each other, the least they can do is use those things for what they were designed for. Doing so for other reasons is usually dangerous, one way or another.

For example, men who have sex with other men usually contract STDs at a higher rate than any other group:
www.stdcheck.com/blog/lgbt-std…

Although I've still yet to find female homosexuals who contract disease on a massive scale the way male homosexuals do.

Did you know that many animals exhibit homosexual behaviour? So, God must certainly thinks it's natural, since he made homosexual animals.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-05 23:41:30 +0000 UTC]

Depends. I mean, prison sex between males is a thing, even though most of them would prefer heterosexual sex.

A sex-starved animal will go for just about anything.

They're more akin to oddities. Of course, love of the male form is natural, but not eros.

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-06 20:21:57 +0000 UTC]

Isn't it self-explanatory? For a man to admire another handsome man isn't anything new, but if he takes it to a sexual meaning, then yes, it is going against biological programming. And it has certain negative effects:

Imagine that you really, really love someone, but as soon as you tell your parents about it, they react with disgust as soon as they learn that she/he is of the opposite sex...It doesn't matter if your love treats you well and that both of you make each other very happy, your family rejects you because you dared to fall in love with a member of the opposite sex. But surely, you are finding my story silly, because we live in a hetero-normative society. Yet, imagine if we lived in a world where homosexuality was the norm. Would you still deny yourself your love for him or her, because it's not ''normal'' or ''in the Bible'' or would you fight tooth and nails for your love to be accepted?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Vader999 In reply to sampea [2018-12-07 01:51:15 +0000 UTC]

Um, no. Their parents are disgusted because their son is trying to express that love unnaturally. I can love other men, but not in the eros sort of fashion. I can love them as friends, and I can love them as fellow human beings. It's down to the point where men screwing men comes with a horde of problems:Β aidsinfo.nih.gov/understanding…

It's not just God telling you that it's wrong, it's not just your parents that find it disgusting. Why else would nature bestow such a horrid disease on man-to-man sex addicts? Heterosexual nymphomaniacs have armies of children, and homosexual men get diseases.

Also, a world where homosexuality is the norm wouldn't realistically last. Because we, as beings with two opposite sexes, need heterosexual sex to breed. A homosexual society will die, or it will get ravaged and destroyed by heterosexual societies, because they wouldn't have the numbers to fight or resist, be it against other tribes or against the ravages of aging, disease, and time.Β

Not all homosexual men get disease. And that example I used was just an example to illustrate my point. This short movie will illustrate what I mean better:Β
