The most depressing thing is when someone stops finding value in something for no other reason than 'because of the other people who like that thing'. I suppose if you found out a lot of 'weird people' liked your favorite food, you'd stop enjoying it as well, then?
And I've seen plenty of pixel art of this caliber as Daily Deviations for years by this point. The fact it's ponies has absolutely nothing to do with it.

It's not that you have an opinion, it's WHY you have that opinion. My opinion of your opinion is that you should have a better reason for having an opinion than "the people who had the opposite opinion were weird".
And it's impossibly rude to go to a piece just to comment that you don't like the subject of the piece. At the very least, give some critique or comment on the work itself rather than "oh I don't like the intellectual property this piece of fanart was based on" or, even worse, "I don't think this daily deviation deserves to be one". If you've really been around so long, I feel you should be obligated to know these things by now.

O_o Why do you need to know my reasoning behind my opinions? DD's are stunning pieces of artwork that someone would want in their house on proud display. Something unique and brilliant and well done. No, I may not like the subject. o_o But I never said it was bad. It's very good. But maybe not comparable to works previously shown in the DD gallery. These are just icons. This artists pixeling throughout their gallery is stunning. There are at least three other pieces in there that I would gladly see as a DD instead of simple pixelated icons.

What he said there was untrue, they don't just pick "todays pop fandoms" they pick unique and taled art
that has every right to have a DD. It's not up to them that there other fandoms with less art then some
of the biger fandoms.

No, its a good thing. It's when art is featured by the community and put on display at the bottom of pages. People are biased and pick 'todays pop fandoms' like ponies though. The pixeling in this is good, but it wouldn't have been recognized if it wasn't pony related. o_o
