Description Mynx's Praetorian counterpart is known as Bobcat. She holds court in a private backroom of the Imperial City nightclub, Studio 55. Like a true feline, she's equally likely to purr at visiting players...or scratch them to pieces.

For that matter, Mynx looks pretty tacky compared to her counterpart now.

It's the giant letter beltbuckles. Makes sense for an old school comic book, but our game's been evolving away from that for some time.

So clearly the Phalanx and the Vindicators need a Praetorian-style makeover! (As does Steel Canyon. Good -lord- I want to see steel canyon gleam like the new Atlas does)

Make it happen, man. If you need some knees cracked to do it, I know a guy.

Given she was a signature NPC, it has made me wonder why her in-game design ended up rather, well, to be polite, dumbed-down from this.

I also can't help but find the differences between the original Bobcat and this one striking. It's made me honestly wonder if Neuron didn't do something unspeakable to her brain and genetic code because he wanted a more traditional cat-girl? Just another one of those horrifiying things that pop up about Praetoria when you stop and think about it.

It was just an issue of time. This is as close as we could get using just the regular costume creator, but it's still a lot better than the original version (w/ giant 'B' beltbuckle). Would loved to have seen the actual fur patterns applied to her bodysuit, but you can't always get everything.

Is it really infeasible to tweak these things after the fact, though? I mean, There's such a horrible imbalance in the...signatureness of the signature characters. Some look incredibly unique (Mother Mayhem) and others look like costume creator rejects (Sister Psyche). It's especially disconcerting when sometimes the concept art shows up. This image is one example, but another is the fact that on the cover art for the Numina sig arc part, Numina has this really cool, soft hairstyle, (which almost looks like "Honey" more than anything else) but in-game she's got the same ancient, stringy "Glam", which just...really shows its age these days...

We have hard deadlines for each project, so yeah, it's kind of hard to justify going back. But the way we get around this is to push ahead with development, and work in those changes in some other context. Over time, I imagine that most everything will get an update. Just ask Atlas Park!

Eh, I can understand that. It's just that, from what you're saying, it almost sounds like little things can't get revisited unless it's part of a larger overhaul, which...I can understand the need to organize and group tasks, but what if you have one little change idea that would improve something relatively minor, but doesn't really fit into a larger category or project?

Everyone's got deadlines to hit of course, so it's tough to justify going back and spending additional time on something that's already shipped. The only exception, really, is when we respond to Beta feedback. That's the best time to accomodate changes and fixes, so if you're on Beta, folks, make sure to note the things that are critical to you!
