Some of the sketches I created for CITY OF HEROES' Steampunk-themed costume set. Obviously the genre's really broad, with nearly endless possibilities, so while this is meant to cover some of the obvious things people expect in a Steampunk set, there's a lot more I'd like to explore in a future set (like Western and robot sub-themes). But of course that depends on how well the first set sells, so make sure you buy one, 'kay?
I absolutely LOVE steampunk, and I only wish that I'd been able to take this to a fully-painted treatment.

I'd really like to see a Goth style pack come out, with the arm sleeves in them. I'm majorly into goth/steampunk and the arm sleeve gloves that I have I'd love to see on the toons (both male and female alike) Something like [link] would be awesome!

I love this set. I've used bits of it on all my characters now. I'd love to see a few more of theses pieces in the game (like the multi lens goggles and tophats for girls). Great work.

There was a certain piece of internet reference that I was looked at when I drew that. Might very well have started its life as a Nerf gun for all I know. I had to jump off this project before I could do a proper paint-up, but if I'd had the time to paint this up properly, I'm sure the design would've shifted quite a bit.

the hair on the tinkerer girl looks way better here than the final product, imo. the breather detail is nifty too.

Some things are tougher to do in 3D than they are in 2D, I suppose.
