CITY OF HEROES FREEDOM brings a new Free-to-Play option to the game, and given all the new players coming in to check us out, we doubled down on all aspects of the new starting experience. That includes a brand-new tutorial section that simultaneously teaches new heroes and villains how to interact with the world but also a new tutorial comic that plays out over a series of load screens.

Nothing too artistically exciting on the final page, but it's an important one. The idea here is that you, the player character, have been beneath a building as a result of super-human conflict. You emerge, but the city's falling apart all around you. That's how the game begins...
