About The MOCPeletuma Battledwarf turned out to be a spur of the moment MOC for me. The inspiration to build him came from seeing one of 0nuku 's MOCs and wanted to try building my own little dude. Though mine turned out somewhat...beefier.
Another big inspiration here is I've been playing Magic: The Gathering a lot with friends and co-workers lately, so I wanted to build something more mythical looking. I'd say he's a cross between something from Magic and LOTR as those were the two fantasy elements I had in mind.
"Paleltuma" means "Frostbite" in Finnish. Thanks to my buddy Monarth for telling me that.
Paleltuma's main weapon is his hammer/axe. I couldn't decide which one to give him so I figured out a way where he had both. Its a hammer and an axe.
Then he has his buzzsaw axe and a shield as secondary weapons. I quite like that his shield is as big as he is. I also tried to make him have a braided chain beard as well as a Dwarvish looking battle helmet.Additional photos can be viewed at his Flickr Gallery

Nope, just MTG for now. I got into it because a co-worker/friend of mine plays it. My dad played it when I was a kid back in it's early days, so I knew what it was. Its been a lot of fun getting into it and learning the game.
