Update 2/18/12 added a canister in the background so that it really does seem like Onua washed up on shore like in the comics. Thanks to him for rendering and splicing that in.The background was provided by , edited by and the MOC and photography of it is of course mine. When I saw this I instantly recalled the scenes where the Toa Mata washed ashore on the island of Mata Nui. Since I had Onua I used him, plus I more vividly remember him being in a scene like this. Thanks to Deth for editing this and Danny for allowing me to use his wonderful landscape renders. Expect more from this "trio" of sorts.

We wanted one, but couldn't get one in there. There's no photos of blank canisters, and the couple of digital ones didn't have the right angles or lighting for them to work.

You know, I could probably model one for you. Not right away though, got something I'm working on right now and a whole other list of stuff I need or want to model but I think I could fit it in somewhere.

Well I can build you the canister, I don't know what program he used to make the scene itself but the displaces sand would have to be made in that program, I can't really do that in tS. Right now I'm working on a custom toa model/moc but when I'm done with that I'll get right to the canister. Just have to look around on the web for some reference pics ^^

He just used photoshop. Dunno which version but its photoshop. But alright I'll let him know. If you use the photo as a reference and create a canister that fits into the "context" he can work around that.

Actually what I meant was, what program did "DannyGordon20" use to create the original landscape in the scene. If by any chance he used Bryce, I could use that original scene to make the canister fit in better. Maybe he used Vue(or a different program) though, in that case I don't think I'll be able to import it and I'll just have to send you the image file.

Alright, I was a bit worn out after working on Toa Ihlire yesterday. That was 2 days constant work. But I'll get to work on the canister today.

Heh, there were a couple of things I had to do today, the canister and another model but instead I just ended up doing nothing and playing the Mass Effect 3 Demo online. I'll see if I can get to work on that canister tomorrow. Sorry about the delay.

Well you can't look a freebee in the mouth. I said I was working on other things as well. Even if I hadn't been tired yesterday there still wouldn't have been a guarantee I would have finished it then. I'll see if I can find some reference pics today, when I looked yesterday my internet had to cut out just as I pressed ENTER on google images... just my luck.
Don't expect to much though, when looking at the image, I realized there wasn't much room for the canister. The only place I could think of putting it was just above the ONUA text on the beach.

I know, and I don't want to nag, its just "hey, I'll do it today -> Oh hey I didn't get to it tomorrow," tomorrow comes and goes -> "I was too tired today I'll get to it soon," it just irks me a little. Plus I'm relaying this to DE and trying to let him know when he'll be working on it. Its not a big deal though, really.
Not necessarily. It can stick up diagonally out of the water somewhat. Or DE can move the Onua text and it can be placed there or resized. We just need something to work with.

I know right? When I picked the photo, it was cause I liked the posing. I didn't even notice the lighting worked as well. One DE realized I didn't care if he was looking into the trees, he had no problem placing him.

The Onua one is officially done, got the canister in there. I realized that it should have foot prints in the sand, but that's a bit much. SO that's it. Now I just need to get some reshoots of ol' archie done, and have DE edit one up of him flyin' 'round like the BAMF he is.
