Description
Okay, this is my second giant monstrosity. His name is mototaur. He is a minotaur with roller blade feet. He has a pneumatic (air) powered hip/ suspention system. He also has a bohrok head morning star for a weapon. This figure is more mechanically technical than Ryakk, my other insanely large Bionicle MOC. I plan on rebuilding this figure, because functionally, he isn't right yet. There are still a lot of bugs to work out. Look wise I think he's great. He is very menacing. When his torso and legs are fully extended he measures at about two and a half feet. The wheels on his feet allow for smooth movement if he were to run or attack. Again with this model, all the joints move and are articulate. He even has those weird minotaur legs. This model presents a lot of technical and mechanical challenges that I have already and need to have met. I enjoy working this figure the most because he is the hardest.*update* This is the old version of Mototaur. Technically I think its version 4, I've actually lost count. But he is the second version to be uploaded to

Its a tad annoying that people know this MOC without necessarily knowing its mine. But I guess there's not much I can do to fix that.

Ebay is a good place to get large quantities of Bionicle for cheap. The only downside is that you really have to do your research and look at what you're getting, and you don't have as much control about what you get.
The other option is Bricklink where you can pick precisely what you're looking for from different sellers. Its a lot like Amazon, but for lego.

Well for starters, presentation of MOCs is everything. Its just as important as the MOC itself. What's the point of making a cool MOC, just to take a crappy picture of it for other's to see? A nice clean background and good lighting is key here.
As for the description, put what ever you'd like. Your thoughts on what it was like to build the MOC, any kind of story. Anything you think the audience should know about this MOC.

Harvey Cu made this huge thing.mocpages.com/moc.php/149662 He says it stands 40 inches tall. But looking at the comparison to his son's MOC and him I call bullshit. 40 inches is past my waist line and I'm 6'2" I think he fluffed up the height by about 10 inches, but that's still taller than Ryakk or Mototaur.

There's other stuff out there in the world that's been done but I guess you'll just have to go look. It seems harder to find it than it used to be, but maybe I'm not looking in the right spots.

Well Mototaur isn't together anymore and unless you can pay a lot of money, Ryakk isn't for sell. They're mine, I built them for me.

Ummm I worked on him gradually over time. I'd redo his designs, leave him alone for a while come back, redo somethings or improve on them, so i can't really answer that question.Sorry.

The arms and legs could move pretty decently. But to actually pose him and have him stand there wasn't a whole lot that could be done. His size and weird legs made him difficult to pose.

He's too heavy and more specifically, top heavy. He's hard to balance. It doesn't matter if the arms or legs are stiff enough if he just falls over. :/

Thank you. I like the over all color scheme. THough I woulda diled down the color variations with the blacks and grays. But over all I like him.

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah that might be nice to single out the blacks and grays and just have browns, metals and yellow. What'd be cool is to have most of those inner working parts be metal colors like silver, and gun metal, then have golds as armor parts. THat'd be rad.

Well you do have to expect that... besides, bulkier legs do make more sense for a guy that large, it's all about porportions in the end.

I know Its part of the territory of him being that big and having digigraded legs. I just wanna find a way to stream line things a bit morr, not have all these odds and ends sticking out of his legs.
