Oh, man, I can't believe I'm posting this already. Somehow, this drawing got done in five days. I think that's the fastest I've finished any high-effort art like my Paper Mario mockups since, like, 2014. And I wouldn't exactly say the Paper Mario mockups I was pumping out in 2014 were on a comparable level of quality.
Anyway, here's Mario and Sunshine on their way through the Combustion Caves, a shadestone mine below the underground city of Blastburg, in their search for the mystical Shadestone Tree from which the magical mineral is generated. I guess the perspective turned out sorta wonky here, but other than that it looks pretty great for something I drew so quickly.
