Description Page 2 of my most basic pattern. I am uploading it to give people a chance to learn how to make plushies.

PSA: DO NOT USE THIS PATTERN! Despite only having five pieces, this pattern is still an utter nightmare! There is no natural way that these pieces fit together without MAJOR modification! This pattern is more like a guide, but DO NOT USE IT AS A STRAIGHT PATTERN!!!!! YOU WILL FIGHT WITH IT FOREVER AND THINK YOU ARE THE ONE DOING IT WRONG! I imagine that there's a tutorial or something specifically for this pattern plushabilities has chosen to withhold, but without that, this pattern is nearly useless. There are too many ways it could be misconstrued and trust me, using this will make you stumble into far too many.
So once again: DO NOT USE THIS PATTERN!

Hi, sorry, but I'm a it confused about putting the back of the head together? Like what goes where? It's a great pattern other than that, but I don't sew often so that's probably why :L

Wow, I was just randomly looking at making plushies (I'd originally been looking at commissioning someone but a lot of them won't post to UK or I have to bid on a slot etc and it's confusing)
but just looking at this has given me an idea of what a pattern would look like. Hopefully I can make something like (but not too similar) to this

Thank you for posting these! I hope to one day make my own plushies, and since I'm new at sewing, any help is very welcome! LOL! I collect plushies...especially of Kakashi. It's getting harder and harder to acquire new ones of Kakashi, though. *sadness* However, if I can make or commission some, I will be overjoyed. I also have added 2 Grimmjow from Bleach plushies to the plushie army. Those 2 were Christmas presents.

Thank you thank you! For posting these! I've tried to make anime plushie before but I fail at designing patterns so they've never come out very well...

Thanks for making this. Its a wonderful piece of work

This should actually help to work out the kinks in the pattern I designed. I hope that its alright if I use some of the design to correct the flaws of mine (mostly, the chin and back of head was where mine fell short)

thanks, these are so useful. I do sew, although to be honest I'm not great at it, I don't suppose these have any set of instructions anywhere for those of us slightly less talented? ^_^U

Are these supposed to be used to make gigantic plushies? o.o;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

plushabilities In reply to Max300 [2007-10-26 00:43:04 +0000 UTC]

These can be used for any size plush you want ^_^;

Back when I used this pattern, mine were always about 8-10 inches tall. But I suppose one could hyper-size the pattern and make huge plushies.

Max300 In reply to plushabilities [2007-10-26 21:07:36 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh.
Do you think you can scale it down so it's not as huge? I know Photoshop can do that, but all the programs I have a crap... thanks of you do...

plushabilities In reply to Max300 [2007-10-27 01:01:01 +0000 UTC]

All you have to do is copy the images into microsoft word and resize them there ^_^; Just resize each to 5" by 4", and you can fit both on the same page ^_^
