Description     So we finally get back around to this fellow, this story is the sister series to Solarshadow and will be going on at the same time as the sagas. I don't know if there's an official term for this kind of thing (I don't consider it a Spin-Off since Solarshadow and it intercept and the events and characters of both effect each other) but this story will be going on along side it and from time to time, it will cross over to Solarshadow and vise versa (if that ever happens, a reference will be made to it). This story is more plot oriented, though it has its share of goofy and fun characters (that will become apparent when Aqualus shows up).

As for the comic itself, this one was interesting to write, I wanted to create a mother-son relationship and I made it feel like a conversation I might have had with my mom, hopefully that will come across with you as well. Hope you enjoy.

Also both Blaze and Tyler felt the design changes from Solarshadow. Blaze has taken elements from a lion and Pomeranian dog, while Tyler (and his brothers later) will take elements from foxes and Pomeranians.

Also for those new here, the voting poll for what Tyler should evolve into refers to the Shiny Eevee there.

Thanks, yep there's definitely been a lot of progress, I have always said I consider fanart to be a useful learning device and I'd say its done that job quite well.

I don't hate it but I find the newer one to be better in every way personally.

I consider Fan work in general to be.

Hey, wait! I have an Eevee story going focused around an Eevee named Tyler!

Huh, that's interesting, where'd the name come from for you?

I'm writing a rather extensive story (60 pages so far) about an Eevee named Tyler who goes searching for his family after they are all captured. I didn't want him to be in any way special - just an ordinary Eevee in extraordinary circumstances. In keeping with that, I gave all the Pokemon in my story normal names instead of, well, significant, destiny-laden 'tribal' ones.

So, Tyler is one of five sibings, the others being Carson, Kara, Skylar, and Sasha. I guess it also didn't make sense to me that they would have names indicative of their types, since those aren't decided at birth (at least not in my story). I just thought about it for a while, and settled on Tyler for a name.

Neat sounds impressive. I have written some fairly lengthy fan stories, though most of them are not available for reading due to sloppiness and such. Comic versions are available for some such as this one, How to Killa Fairy, and Catch Me If You Can.

in my stories they name themselves, so they usually go with something relating to their species, type, etc and they usually rename themselves when they evolve (though not always, Nightmare didn't). Though ones like Harvest and Solar picked their names based on the evolution they wanted (and what they will call themselves at that point). Tyler was a member of the crew of Solarshadow, and it was originally a parody series, as such Tyler's name was a pun, normal type with a normal name.

Ohk. Makes sense. I was sort of remembering back to the Warriors books I read when I was like 13-15. They were about cat Clans and each would be named something (like Leaf) with a changing suffix (-kit, -paw, -fur/claw/fang/tail/etc, -star) as they progressed from child to apprentice to warrior to leader.

Not all of them are puns and specie oriented though (just most of them XD), Rotaar and Drake are not and Goodra refuses to reveal her actual name so that one is up in the air. Nymphia was a corruption of Ninfia (Sylveon's European name) but in story, the character calls herself that because that's what her trainer named her.
