Hey everybody, sorry for being late but hopefully it was worth it as this was definitely one of the most complex pages I have ever done in terms of art (poses, angles, effects, etc) and it was also one of my personal favorites to work (despite the task at hand XD). I can safely say I am very happy with the results, I had lots of ideas for this page and they all worked out I'd say. I have a few minor issues but for the most part I think it came together quite nicely. So On to the page itself, we delve into the psyche of these two and this does also give me an opportunity to talk a little bit about the relationship between these two. When writing them, I knew going into it I didn't want to do a love triangle. There's nothing necessarily wrong with a love triangle but I didn't want to do one for my story and there's two basic reasons for that. 1) it's over done, love triangles are almost akin to the protagonist gets provoked in terms of story telling. It's there because its the easiest way to create drama and get the characters to do/feel/say something. I wanted to find something more interesting. 2) I find it often results in at least one of the three being rather uninteresting because outside of the love triangle, there's nothing to them. I also find that majority of the time, it's the female character or one of the female characters involved too, which results in poor female characters as well who's entire character revolves around the love triangle and by extension the men in the triangle.

So I went with having these two feuding, and this page gets into one of the major concepts for the two, which is the horseshoe effect. For those unfamiliar with it, the Horseshoe effect is a concept that says when two people are opposing one another (usually in political context), they tend to view one another as if they were on opposite sides of a straight line, having nothing in common and not seeing eye to eye in anything. The Horshoe effect says that in reality they're actually more like on opposite ends of a horseshoe, with the two extremes arching around and actually having a lot more in common with one another than they realize or in some cases are willing to admit. Solar and Nymphia were written with that idea in mind, I wanted there stories, personalities, motivations, etc to be very different and yet actually have a lot in common. So there you have it.

* For those who don't/haven't read Shining Consequence and don't know who he is, Galvin was the name of the Jolteon who betrayed Solar. He went unnamed at the time mostly due to the fact I didn't really want to focus on Galvin to much in this story since beyond characterization stuff like Solar's distrust of Authority figures, Galvin doesn't play a major role in Solarshadow but will play a major role in Shining C. As such, if you aren't familiar with that name, that's who that is (we can also assume Shadow told her his name off panel as well).

** Attacks on display here are:

Solar uses Psychic in two ways, in panel 4 he is pinning Nymphia to the ground with it and later he uses it as a concentrated psychic blast. He also uses quick attack (the jump kick thing), light screen (the square shield) and psybeam (what he shoots Shadow ball with). He is wielding Shadow ball at the end of the page. Nymphia uses Moonblast (panel 2), Dazzling gleam (panel 5), protect (to block psychic with, protect being the reason she isn't sent flying that time), swift (the stars are pink due to her being a pixilate Sylveon), quick attack (twice, the jump kick both times) and she is also preparing Shadow ball at the end (and attempted to use it in panel 7)
