Description
So now that these two have sized each other up, time to throw down. The final battle of Cerulean Cave begins. Really hope you guys like this battle, hope it is worth the wait. Like the page before, this was very involved and fun to do, lots of effects and attacks to be seen. I really enjoyed working on this one and hope it shows. Not to much else to say about it, think it speaks for itself. Hope you enjoy!Red's Journal: Dragon Types
Lance was known as the Dragon master. After achieving my goal of becoming Pokemon League Champion, I went to Lance to ask him about the Pokemon he used, Dragonite specifically. I had seen Dragonair and Dratini before but they were owned by other people. These were the first examples of Dragonite I had ever seen and wanted to know if he could help me get one. Lance became a big help to me in my journey to complete the pokedex, he knew lots of amazing hard to reach places. Getting me a Dratini was a major goal of his. He taught me a lot about this rare Pokemon and it's habits. One day at the Safari zone, I found one. It was a wonderful moment, I couldn't wait to learn about it and... it ran away. So I searched for another one... and it also ran away.
Eventually I did capture one and got to raise it. Dratini was a joy to use, it was very capable and had lots of potential. As did it's other forms, Dragonair and Dragonite. Beyond these three examples, I wouldn't get to try out any other Dragon types till I ventured into Johto, where Clair showed me Kingdra. Latter Charizard mega evolved and became a dragon type. I noticed a tend, they were always very powerful Pokemon, not only did they usually have good offensive presence but due to them resisting many common types like fire and water, they also were usually bold and fearless. I was curious why the normal form for Charizard wasn't Dragon type, although he also sported similar aggression and fearless. I think it stems from the energy they harness more so than anything else. Charizard utilized fire and flying powers over any others. Charizard being a better flyer than Mega X but not nearly as powerful. Whereas it's Mega form sacrificed it's flying abilities to gain draconic ones. Just a theory for right now.

Oh yeah, these two are not holding back anymore.
I don't think Eevee will be getting one of those, though it does make since Umbreon and Espeon would, if they have one then people would expect all the others to have one too and that mean devoting quite a few of this new mechanic to just one Pokemon (for instance they introduced 30 megas in X and Y, if say all the Eevee's forms got one, that mean that 8/30 were devoted to Eevee). If they do though, I feel like that it depends on how they acquire the forms. If they have to be from Alola or in Alola to do it, then they won't be able to do it, since Solarshadow takes place in and are from Tandaur. If they can use it otherwise, than they might use them. I'd probably at least do a what if type picture where they are drawn in those forms and say what they think about it, like Solar probably wouldn't like it if it isn't psychic type anymore, something like that.

Actually from what I heard it has to do with those new Z moves, when some Pokemon use those moves they get a new form, like ash greninja for example, i hope umbreon and espeon get forms like that because it makes sense they fit the whole sun and moon scheme.

I doubt it work with those, then everything that can use those moves would have to have an Alolan form, and as far as I can tell, anything can use those moves. That be over 700 Pokemon needing the form, so I don't really think that works (even if only fully evolved Pokemon could use them, it still be a ton). Makes more since to me for one of these three. 1) Hatch a Vulpix in the Alolan region and it has some sort of chance of turning out to be an Alolan Vulpix, 2) bring a Vulpix to some special place and it will transform (maybe if leveled up there or something), or 3) they have a new stone called an Alolan stone when used on a Vulpix, it becomes an Alolan Vulpix.

it's not exactly like getting a new form, it's kind of like a transformation, according to the leak only a few pokemon will have this like Greninja (because of the anime) the version legendaries because the game needs to do something with them. And umbreon and espeon because of the sun and moon theme. It will only activate when they use the Z moves.
I'm not sure how accurate it is but accroding to the leak we should get info about the greninja form on the 21st.

I doubt the Greninja form is related, the way it has been shown in the anime doesn't really match up with the description of what the Alolan forms is supposed to be, that being in a tropical island environment, animals take on drastic changes. The Greninja form is supposed to be due to a close bond with Ash triggers a phenomenon and is more or less a mega evolution without the mega stones and stuff. I have sincere doubts the Alolan forms and the Z-moves are related. Pretty sure it's like the Mega forms and the Fairy type, two separate new introductions that have nothing to do with one another.
Well Pokemon is very specific about the evolutions and stuff and making sure if they add something to previous Pokemon, it can not be done in the earlier games. For example it is not possible to evolve Eevee into Umbreon in generation 1 because their is no night mechanic and no friendship mechanic. When Weavile was introduced, they added the razor claw to it's evolution method since you could level up Sneasel at night but that item was not available, so it couldn't evolve into Weavile prior to gen 4. So if the Alolan forms came out and Umbreon and Espeon got one, but the others didn't, then that would mean the others would never get one (at least not an Alolan form specifically) unless they want to add another way to trigger them previously unavailable in a Emerald esc version of the game. That make people upset that there favorite ones got ignored, so they would pretty much have to give one to all of Eevee's forms then, possibly including Eevee itself, and that require them to devote at least 8 of the Alolan forms to Eevee (9 if Eevee itself gets one), which is an awful lot to devote to for a new mechanic. So I have sicere doubts Umbreon and Espeon will get one. I would say Lunatone and Solrock would be more likely to get one, that way they only need to give two Pokemon the mechanic and it still fit the sun and moon theme.

I think you might have misunderstood what I said. You see these other forms are very diffrent from the alolan form and the way they are used they do not contradict past games. You know how rayquaza can mega evolve when it knows dragon ascent it's kind of like that but with Z moves, as in when a few pokemon use Z moves they'll change their form. I'm not too sure how it will work but then again my leak may not be too right.
Oh and there is one way to find out if the leak is right before the end of the month they'll make an announcement about ash greninja or as the leak said it would be called rainbow greninja

Mistake in panel 8, Red says "He'll take mile" instead of "He'll take a mile".
Great job! Fun battles to watch ^.^
