So the Cerulean Cave battle nears its end and Mewtwo's final strategy has been fully revealed! This was a fun page to work on, overall pretty happy with it. Have a few issues but as a whole I am happy with the results. Solarshadow and Shining Consequence will be having a merger page, meaning both will update at the same time next time. So Catch Me If You Can will be updating earlier than usual as a result as well! You will be seeing the next page next week as a matter of fact! Now I had Red's Journal postponed because I felt it would spoil Mewtwo's plan here. In kids films and such, the power of love is pretty much always the key to victory... here it back fired horribly.

Red's Journal: Forming a Bond with Your Pokemon
I Talked about this already but not in detail. Throughout my journey, I realized the true source of power in Pokemon is that they trust you. They will never unleash their true potential if they second guess your decisions, are unsure of you, or don't feel you know what you're doing. You need to form a true partnership. It's not about telling them what to do, it's about being in synch, thinking like one, acting as one, seeing each other as important. If you can't do this, you'll never achieve greatness, because you've demonstrated to your Pokemon you are not worthy of greatness. They should want to win a badge just as much as you do, they should want to conquer the opponent just as much as you do, they should want to come out on top just as much as you do. If they don't, then you're doomed to fail. I wanted to be Indigo League Champion, I dreamed of it my whole life and the day I stood before Blue, my team wanted to be champions too just as much as I did.
Charmander was the first Pokemon I got, and it's been with me ever since. Although I formed a bond with all my Pokemon, none compare to Charizard. I have had so many adventures, so many memories, and so many experiences with him, I don't think I would know what to do with myself if something happened to him. I trust Charizard, I believe in him. I would be willing to die to protect him and if he were in danger, I would do anything I could to help him. I trust his judgement, I am confident in his ability to perform and to do what's necessary. I couldn't live with myself if I did something that got Charizard killed. I would be lost without my partner. Bring on the greatest of them all because I am sure we can take it. So muhc so, I am challenging Mewtwo, and I am confident we can beat him! Charizard is a member of my family, and I won't let anything happen to him.

I am confident he feels the exact same way about me.
