So got this done, and man this page was a lot of fun to work on, lots of effects, multiple new Pokemon to draw and got to draw lots of new things in general. Hope that translates into the panels themselves. So here we also see a lesser known weapon of Mewtwo's, the spoon. If you read the manga, then you should know about this weapon, otherwise this could be your first time seeing it (was also shown in ScrewAttacks Death Battle too, though I thought that portrayal was underwhelming). Mewtwo will be using it here during the Mega X battle. There's a ton of possibilities with that weapon and hope to show some of them off here and in future battles. A lot of people thought Mewtwo was going to mega evolve himself, but in this story, this is the first time he'd had any exposure to Mega evolution. So wouldn't really make since unless he did it by accident.

On a side note, we see some details on the Rampage of Mewtwo. This is an event that took place prior to the Cerulean Cave battle and we see how it ended. Red will discuss it in detail more so below.

Red's Journal: The Rampage of Mewtwo
I was on my journey when I first heard of Mewtwo. I had four, five badges by that point, something like that, and knew that I stood no chance in battle with him. I never encountered him anyway, but I checked the newspaper, radio, TV, and phone whenever I could to find out about the Genetic Pokemon. Mewtwo became the most talked about and feared being in the region. Nobody knew how powerful he was or if anyone could even stop him. Everywhere he went, a storm followed. It quickly became the symbol of doom and many people would evacuate if it came anywhere near them. The army tried to answer Mewtwo first but proved ineffective since anything they could fire at him could easily be turned around and sent back. Numerous trainers, gym leaders, etc also began to come out to try and defeat or capture Mewtwo. They were all defeated though. Mewtwo continued this assault for about a week undefeated. Towards the end of the week, he had ravaged a chunk of the land, many of the roads were closed and blocked off and there were numerous forests, mountains, etc that people were forced to stay out of while Mewtwo was present there. Though many entered these areas anyway in search of what many were calling the most powerful Pokemon in the world. Mewtwo's rampage continued but it was only a matter of time before the destruction would catch the attention of the birds of Kanto.
