So there is this other meme - the "Kick your own ass meme" to be exact - where you pick one of your oldest deviations and remake it in your current and hopefully improved style. I wasn't planning on doing it anytime soon, but then I got an unexpected comment on my 2004 Sabretooth vs. Mystique deviation and thought, well, why the hell not. I'm still having issues with the whole throat grab thing but who knows, maybe in other five years I will get it right.Another thing that has changed since the original submission is that I've finally read the Sabretooth and Mystique miniseries, which wasn't bad, but I recommend it only if you're a fan of one or both of these characters. I also had the misfortune to read Chuck Austen's attempt to retcon their shared past in an X-Men Unlimited story, but thankfully no one has taken that seriously. This, on the other hand? This is where it's at.

Well, in my headcanon this happens way after the fact since Mystique didn't show her true appearance to Creed when they were in a relationship (I'm following the original cnaon about it here), but whatever, it's open to interpretation!

Well, their story has been retconned by Marvel at least a couple of times. My favorite version will always be the first - they were both secret agents in Berlin during the cold war and she posed as this German spy called Leni Zauber, then dumped him leaving the corpse of the REAL Leni behind... what I liked about the ship was that they were both nasty pieces of work tbh.

looks awesome. i love their faces. the only thing is i think the hold he had on her neck in the older one looked a bit better, the angle of his hand is better in this one but it doesn't look like there's much force behind his grip.

Yeah, that's something I was aware of and actually went looking for reference, but I couldn't find any -_-;; On the other hand, the old pic gave Mystique an overly elongated neck for Creed's hold to work, so yeah, maybe in other five years I'll get around to do this right

Oh. Ma questo Γ¨ il Creed della raccolta delle tue drabble - a cui, a proposito, devo ancora commentare l'ultima parte.
Io ho solo un problema, con la Marvel. Non dico per tutti, ma molti supereroi o personaggi maschili vengon disegnati con bidipidi, tricipidi, quadricipidi e quinticipidi che non esistono, fisionomie fin troppo pronunciate. E a me tutto quel muscolo pompato fa schifo, non Γ¨ la mia idea ideale di bellezza.
Ma a questo Creed, cavolo. A questo Creed salterei addosso.
Bello. Belli i colori, bella la texture, belli loro due. E Mystica... Mystica. 
Non so che tipo di rapporto intercorra tra i due, ma... non credo si vogliano tanto bene. xD

Anch'io è un pezzo che non leggo gli X-Men, per un motivo o per l'altro - c'è poco da fare, l'ultimo ciclo che mi aveva davvero *esaltato* era quello di Morrison (che a molti ha fatto cagare, ma vabbè) e a conti fatti è di quasi dieci anni fa... La maggior parte della roba recente, a parte alcuni sprazzi, mi risulta abbastanza insapore. Voglio sempre un sacco di bene agli X-Cosi, però ù.ù
Comunque secondo me la mini di Sabretooth, con un po' di impegno, la trovi su torrent o direct download... certo non Γ¨ la stessa cosa che avere gli albi ma meglio di niente! Aaah Larry Hama, quanto mi manchi :hearts:
