"Guardian Of Nightmares" was drawn in 2005.
As being one of my oldest works, I thought it was an obvious choice for my "revamping adventure".
I tried to keep as true to the original work as possible, but I had to change some things, because they weren't working anymore, like the pose of the legs.
The pastels weren't cooperating and I'm not too fond of that tail, more yellow would have definitely made it look better. Too late now.
I must say, I've fallen in love with this work, I can't believe how far I've come.

I know, but i have not so much patience with doing traditional art. 
I only do it good with my pen, but when i start colouring, it dosnt always turn out so nice as i want it too! >< That is why i prefer to do digital art more! XD

Aww, obrigada! Os meus desenhos são todos feitos à mão, de vez em quando lá me aventuro pelas artes digitais, mas prefiro os meus lápis de cor <3

Apesar de ter photoshop, sempre preferi desenhar com lapiseira, mas muitos dos meus desenhos são a escala se cinza.^^

Também tenho photoshop, mas confesso que não tenho muita paciência para estar o mesmo número de horas que levo a desenhar à mão à frente do computador, a minha cabeça começa a doer passado um bocado e acabo por abandonar quase todos os projectos, porque depois não me apetece continuar...
Também gosto imenso de desenhar com grafite e lapiseira!

Eu lá vou aprendendo umas coisitas e o pessoal daqui vai dando conselhos...
Desenhei um carro uma vez para um projecto na escola (desenho à vista no 6º ano, acho eu). Era um Honda Civic, gostei imenso de como ficou, mas não cheguei a acabar porque tive que recomeçar e agora já nem sei o que foi feito dele. Desde aí nunca mais experimentei... Não sou muito dada a desenhar tecnologias

Já me fartei de o procurar, mas não o encontro. Acho que deve ter ido para o lixo quando a minha cave inundou. Perdi quase todos os meus antigos livros e desenhos que tinha lá

Oh, wow, talk about improving my dear! This is fantastic! I love the use of pastels on this one, especially on the clouds---it creates a wonderful softness. The colors are really spectacular. You've definitely paid attention to detail on the lighting and muscles here. Very nicely done

The lighting was a pain XD I was like "Ok so the tail lights up this area, so the shadow must be here but oh! there are those annoying little flames on the legs, I must not forget about those!"

What an incredible improvement. The soft pastels were a good choice: they make the background very soft

I used them for the flames and clouds, the sky is all done in colored pencil. I tried really hard to make the color transition softer here, it looks better in person though, but yes, the pastels gave a really soft look to the background
