Chill.
Everyone here is commenting on tutorial.stop assuming this has nothing to do with tutorials.
I have a free right to my opinion on other peoples critiques.
Which is why saying people are entitled to an opinion, will simply get you the same answer. Try something different next time.

Whoa! Defensive much?
No, what I'm saying, is that people are just commenting that they don't understand why there's a sudden change in height and such with the age. That's it.
They're only commenting their opinions. They're not asking for a tutorial. You're the one who's going around and saying,"Aare you wanting a different tutorial? Because that's what it sounds like."
No. They're not. They're just commenting.
It's cool that you're letting them know that's how anime style works. It's true. And you have every right to post that.
You have every right to tell people you're opinion, but to spam comments over and over again assuming they want a tutorial is not.
That's all I'm saying.

No sh*t it's anime.
I wasn't berating her artwork and I actually really love her style. I was just making a joke on how the age jumps from 16 to 30. I know that there's nothing wrong with her skipping ages... Quit copying and pasting the same comment on everyone's post that mentions something about the artwork style.

Not all old women are like that, saggy with grey hair and hunchbacks. My great grandma whos in her 90's stands up straight, she doesn't have grey hair and she doesn't have a saggy body. (but maybe that's because we are black and black don't crack)
Ether way, good picture^^

LMAO
I'M SORRY, BUT I LAUGHED SO HARD AT THIS XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
HERE, HAVE THIS:
Also: I think it's on the genetic of the person (or he/she is really lucky); my great-grandma is in her late-90's as well, and listen, walk, speak and see perfectly well (and can stand up straight too); the only differences are: my family is white and her hair is white, so... She's cracked XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Cool! Ah anime style, in reality we don't grow taller after 17 in most cases so the ht. difference between 16 and 30 would be minor or nonexistent! Yet you're right they tend to make the adults even taller than the 16-17 year old teens in anime!

Nerf-or-Nothing In reply to Auronyth [2015-05-12 03:20:01 +0000 UTC]
Actually, our height typically keeps growing until we are in our early 20s. By the time you are 25, usually that is when the body stops growing in height.
Womens puberty stops at 21, and mens typically end at 18.
Our noses and ears however, can usually keep growing till we die, however in most cases the growth is hardly noticeable as its such a slow growth.

That doesn't sound quite legitimate. "It's anime."
I think that people shouldn't shrink because it's typical of anime-style. I imagine that that short old people were short in adulthood, and vice-versa.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Nerf-or-Nothing In reply to Droidigan [2015-05-13 19:47:23 +0000 UTC]
Uhm, it is legitimate.
There are different art styles in existence.
Anime is one of them and that is the typical anime style. There are different anime art styles however like I said before, this is the MOST COMMON, the typical ankme style.
I.e. this is done correctly for the style used.
If you can't see that, then you are trying to view this as a different style and you need to realize, the only stylized art genre this is, is anime.
Nothing else, despite what you prefer, not everyone perfers the art genre you like.
Again, I must ask, are you looking for a different tutorial, because this is anime and yes, that, like this comment explains, is a legitimate art style.

Droidigan In reply to Nerf-or-Nothing [2015-05-13 20:38:31 +0000 UTC]
Anime is a broad term, and you're generalizing it. Just a side note.
But yes it is my opinion that I find it a problem that people shrink. And even worse that you call it a style. This style doesn't seem very flexible like a cartoon-style, which takes great shift in proportions.
Phuh, this isn't not worth it. I'll end my part here.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Nerf-or-Nothing In reply to Droidigan [2015-05-13 21:40:25 +0000 UTC]
I said typically, typical, anime, therefore not generalizing but speaking of a common stylized anime theme, the most common one. There is a common style, and sty.es not so common. The not so common would be atypical.
You can prefer a style over others, and dislike a style in your own opinion.
That is fine.
Saying something that is a style, and claiming it is not a style just because you don't happen to like it, is very rude and unartist like.

The fact that they draw female characters keep growing after their 14's just like males, always bugged me.
MOST females start to grow slower after their periods, and in 2 or 3 years, they stop to grow. This is the main reason why usually women are smaller than men.

Nerf-or-Nothing In reply to AliceSacco [2015-05-13 12:48:48 +0000 UTC]
That's not true, sorry.
Most girls start their periods at, or after 15 years of age. Thst is the most common age. In certain areas of the world depending on environment and upbringing girls can girls can get it as early as 9. I got mine at 11. This is not common.
Girls puberty doesn't stop until 21 but growth rate varies. Sometimes it stops early, sometimes growth rates vary, sometimes it's late.
Boys stop typicslly at 18.
Most peoples height keeps growing until 25, depending. Same goes for ears and nose. Again the individuals persons growth rate varies.
The only reason why women are smaller than men is sketetal and muscular build and is thought also to be due to evolutionary purposes.
Certain ethnicities have different common height ratios.
Which is why women are not always shorter than men.
Men and women are both tall and short and both can shrink in size and slump over with age.

Most of the girl I know had their first period at 13, but 11 or even 10 were not so rare. I had my period at 11, with my body that was already pretty mature, compared to my mental age that was few year behind (I still enjoyed toys).

I'm just going by science like I said, I had my period at 11, but that is the result of growing up in America.
Like I said, evirenment has an effect. 9-15 is rare as it's only, like I said, a recent occuence when 15 was the overall normal and is still pretty common in other parts of the world.
The rarest cases are of infants getting their periods, and kids as young as four and six like the pregnant Peruvian girl who gave birth at 5 Years old.
Mentality has notning to do with getting your period. It's a mixture of factors within your environment, your genetics and any chemicals in foods, water and other everydsy items. A recent study confirmed kids who wear make up hit puberty sooner.
I was just letting you know puberty growth does not end at 14 and also has nothing to do wiyh heihht growth but hair, b.o. and certain body parts.

My puberty started more or less the day of my 9th birthday. I remember this because it was the day I noticed little changements in my body, and I told this to my mum.
I didn't know in U.S.A. periods started so late. in Europe it seems that 13 years old is the norm. I heard about some girls that had their first period at 18.

Nerf-or-Nothing In reply to AliceSacco [2015-05-13 19:39:25 +0000 UTC]
15 is the normal, overall, any other age is not normal but in certain countries the normal changes. The younger a girl has her period the more likely it is she will become depressed and face anti social behavior.
The younger or older you are doesn't mean anything in terms of growth because you can get it when older and have a large chest and hips or geg it young and have few curves.
Early puberty does have an effect on girls in an environment that are not ready to face new hormones and the changes that come with i. Which is why the younger a girl gets her period, the worse off as most boys are already far behind females in terms of mental development znd getting bullied by other girls who don't understand the emotional changes.
I thought you said you got it at 11, like I did.
USA periods are 9-13 varying on location of tbe U.S.
Europe is quickly becoming like America in that the periods are happening younger and younger. It is a huge concern among the entire community for various reasons, not just depression. The last study I read was in 2008 about the steady age decline in European periods.
