Description
Here is my Wonder Woman costume I made for belly dance. ^_^In this pic, you can actually see the way everything in the costume lays when the wind isn't blowing or I'm sitting on the ground. ^_~
I hand dyed the blue-with-white-stars silk (it was pure white before) and some of the red material as well. The veil is also hand-dyed silk. The only part of the costume not made by me is the pants (under the blue skirt and the red skirt) and the wig (Itβs very similar to my hair color).
Taken at Youmacon in 2007.

Also, I got blue contacts for the costume. Here's a close-up so you can actually see.

So I can only assume this would be Wonder Woman's costume if her origin was based on pre-Islamic Arabian myths rather than Greco-Roman mythology.

I adore your costume <3 is super <3 I made some Disney inspired bellydance costumes and I wanted to start making from Cartoon Network heroes and characters
)) one of the characters which I have on my list is Wonder Woman... And I really am happy to see that you had same inspiration as me

This really is just fantastic! I love the way you altered the Wonder Woman costume to fit bellydance. You did an amazing job and you should absolutely be strutting your stuff any time you have that on!

Thank you! I was very happy how well Wonder Woman and bellydance blended together. It is one of my favorite costumes to wear and perform in. It's hard to go back to being "normal" after a performance where you've had a crowd of people chanting "Wonder Woman!" and cheering at you.

What an interesting concept for a costume! I was in need of inspiration - perhaps I should turn to my old comic books instead of the internet for ideas
