Description
A detailed map of Europe based in the future. This map shows topography in a vintage style and is perfect for a wall poster. This map also shows trade routes, flooding due to climate change and high-speed railways. This future scenario is based on a wave of independence for countries such as Scotland and Catalonia, as well as devolution in many regions. The partial breakup of Russia has also been noted. This map does not represent my views or political beliefs, and is only an attempt at an unbiased prediction of the future.
All feedback is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions or critiques. Political map from the same scenario:Β procrastinating2much.deviantarβ¦

comments here about both this map and the political one...
Great work, truly!Β love the level of detail that you've gone to, and the changes - no Belgium, and an independent Scotland and Catalonia... and the new countries carved out of Russia...
i like your decision for a sea level of only 2m
one quibble/complaint though and wonder why you did it? The oceans. You have the shallower water as darker blue rather than the deeper - don't most maps normally do it the other way? It just looks wrong IMO. That's the only thing i'd change though...

Thank you so much!
Yeah, I originally tried it out with darker meaning deeper but I felt like it removed the contrast between the coast and the land. Honestly, in hindsight I probably should have stuck with it though as I can see why it can be confusing. Thanks for the feedback!

you're welcome. as i said it was only a minor quibble, as *obviously* the water closest to land is the shallowest

Looks amazing!
Except for the regions at the coast of course.
