This is a Step - by - Step Tutorial of how I made my sprite for my pixelID: [link]A few people asked my how I did it~ So I decided to make this. I hope it helps people who are still in the process of making their Pixel IDs!! ...or just pixeling in general
Just a disclaimer, this is the way that I pixel, it's by far not the only way, or maybe even the easiest way~ but it's what works for me.

Nice tut, but there's another way to finish it.
When you're done, DO NOT MERGE layers. Disable sketch's layer 
Or, don't disable layer with sketch, just try something with layer's fill (decrease "fill" bar)

Thank for mentioning this since I didn't exactly specifically write this out, but the initial sketch layer should be disabled or even deleted right after your lineart is done, since you don't really need it anymore. If you look at step 2, you can see that I only have the lineart showing, and the sketch is not there anymore.

Since I like how this way works much better than all the sites I referenced, could you tell me what tool would I could use in photoshop to change the colors of individually selected lines vs the whole lineart image?

I basically used the bucket tool to select parts of the lineart...sometimes a pixel at a time~ Its time consuming, but worth it.

eee a tutorial! I never thought to make one of these. Heck, I know what you mean about the time it takes though, I mean jeese. I got my pixel done and needed a couple of days to recover, eugh. It's deleting the jaggys from the lineart that kills.

Pretty nice tutorial. Using a PS base is fine. As long as there are no traces in the final product. I wouldn't consider the pattern overlay PA though. (The outer glow isn't either, ofc)
Oh, and perhaps you should clean up the line art a bit more? I still see double lines
Still a nice tut for people that don't wanna go through the sometimes tiring process of pixel art, but still wanna create some nice pixel art-ish stuff.
Very creative character design by the way.

Pretty spectacular, I've rarely ever seen such detailed pixel art, and I don't think I've ever seen one that was so visually appealing either. I'm absolutely amazed! *drools, stares at uber detailed patterns and lovely shadowing/highlighting*
