This is a Step - by - Step Tutorial of how I made my sprite for my pixelID: [link]A few people asked my how I did it~ So I decided to make this. I hope it helps people who are still in the process of making their Pixel IDs!! ...or just pixeling in general
Just a disclaimer, this is the way that I pixel, it's by far not the only way, or maybe even the easiest way~ but it's what works for me.

on the top lineart layer, I used the bucket tool to select the lineart, sometimes a pixel at a time. D;

just paint over it with whatever color you want~
liek she said tho, it helps to do it on a second layer

4. The outline coloring. Do you color the black lineart on the top lineart copy layer? Or the bottom original one with the base colors? (I'm assuming the top layer?)

=0 that's digital art, not pixel art... (i'm pixel artist, we work pixel by pixel in MSPaint 'cuz with a simple software you can do cool things, without draws first, only mouse =*); but nice work anyway

One question. Do you make your own patterns or do you get them online? If you do, could you give me a link please? Anyway, awesome character design, it's so detailed! But very pretty and awesome color palette you chose. Great tutorial too, thanks for the help!

>__> hmph! to all the people who are being the "art police" about how she does her work. calm down! to me art is art! you express yourself and have fun doing it. there are still people who think that digital art doesn't count as true art either (i've met a few) but i bet that won't stop you from doing it right? all im saying is this isn't about what is true pixel art. its about dA uniting to do something fun to show how much we love the site and art itself. don't mess it up with opinions and definitions D: not cool.

...and yeah. I guess this isn't "true" pixel art whatever that means, but in the end, its the result and not the process that gets looked at in art~
...I mean, if I hadn't posted this step by step, the pixel purists wouldn't have paid attention enough to complain about what I'm doing. XDD
