Since I've been asked around 759 times how I make my coloring look like the way it is, how I use alcohol and how I combine markers with colored pencils etc. etc. I decided to sit down for fucking eight hours and do this goddamn tutorial, because I love you guys ♥ and I want to help you improving.
I know pictures are nice but also please fucking READ IT!
thanks.
So this is the process of this drawing/painting including tips and the usage of the many differnt tools I'm working with.
Oh and I couldn't differnt but being a little sarcastic and trying to put a few jokes here and there.
If you have any questions or suggestions about anything, feel free to ask me!
And no, these markers aren't mine, as well as the colored pencils. Google is your friend.

thank you!
Ethanol isn't often used as art material so I doubt you're able to buy it at stores, even if they are really big, like our local one, where they have nearly everything.
I recomment searching for ethanol for ovens on ebay or amazon, they usually sell it in big bottles which should be enough for like a year.

These are such cool techniques. I'm just in awe of it. You did such an excellent job of explaining everything. You really broke it down into easy steps. Also Yay dragon! The piece in and of itself is so pretty.

It's pretty much the same as isopropanol when using it.

Excellent tutorial! I'm definitely trying the techniques. I do have one question though: Is it possible vodka or rum(clear) instead of ethanol?

Whoa I don't know, it could probably work but the effect of alchol can be seen a lot more when it's high percentual.

Hm. Never thought to use alcohol before. I've used windex, but it's far less controlled than brushed-on alcohol. Thank you for sharing.
Also--is it just me, or does it seem really weird to see a tutorial for traditional art? I'm so used to it being the only thing I do that when I realize how endangered of a species this form of art is (since digital seems to be the big thing these days) it baffles me.

thank you, I'm glad I can help.
I've always been a big fan of traditional art since it's a lot more personal than digital in my opinon. Somehow I keep trying to encourage people working more with traditional medium and keep the 'tradition' itself up.

If there was an award for most detailed tutorial, this'd be it.
Good text, understandable to 99% of the people reading it and proper pictures to accompany the same. I am loving this. I personally liked the sketch more since I am that sort of guy, lol.
