Huh, I'm havin' a little trouble putting the Brutal Hair on her head. When I lock the "bip_head" from the femscout to bip_head from the hair, then do the same thing with rootTransform and use the Zero slider, the hair just goes in a different direction, spinning weirdly. Any clue what can be the cause of it?

PsychoLinChan In reply to Matadorro [2014-03-08 13:31:45 +0000 UTC]

Well. It depends on the version of the hair. If it's the one with the listed *unknown* u only use the slider on the listed *body*. Cuz now Brutal Hair has some issues with the root I think or sth...Or if it won't help...U can always put it by hand (still having locks) ^^'

Yeah, I guess. Thanks anyway. Now time to find out how to paint this crap. :3 Cuz Brutal Hair also seems to have a problem with that. I tried the same painting method on Brutal Hair and Demoman's Fro. Fro got painted, Brutal Hair didn't. ;_;

Fact: In the recent Femscout model updates, the ponytail can now be removed as a bodygroup. No need to scale.

"How to Lin" xD great tutorial title.

To bad the hat clips. Always a pain when I notice things like that when I build characters. XP. The you seem to hide it very well!

Btw are you able to render bloom? I've noticed my bloom doesn't. And I have a very high end computer. Just wandering if you know the issue xP.

My laptop isn't powerful enough to run SFM sadly :c.

Normally a lot of people have to have a pretty expensive laptop to run SFM (something like $1000+ USD). PC's on the other hand might be better budget-wise (you don't have to spend as much)

If my PC were to be a laptop, it would most likely cost over 2k. I have put close to about 1k into my PC so far and it runs SFM like a charm You don't even have to put 1k into a PC to have SFM run well. Maybe a $500-$600 PC would run it decently

I'm using a laptop which is a crap: Acer Aspire 5733

And it can run SFM...

ZeFlyingMuppet In reply to PsychoLinChan [2014-02-01 02:45:26 +0000 UTC]

My old laptop could run SFM but barely. It was extremely choppy and laggy. My current PC setup prevents that problem in SFM.

Then again SFM is a 32 bit program and not 64 bit... If SFM was a 64 bit program, it would probably take up a lot more performance and I'd probably be able to run it even better that it's supposed to.

I looked up your specs and you're just barely able to run SFM.

if SFM is laggy, disable Ambient Occlusion and Progressive Refinement. Disabling the lighting may also help
