I am not worthy of this tutorial... LOL joke it was pretty easy, but just figuring out how this was done was the tricky part, thanks for the share here's my crappy outcome. Obviously if I used your raptor render it would probably look a lot better

I see you got the hang of the technique, that's what matters. You say the render sucks, I say it has great potential if you use your own imagination how to make it work. Eg. make it look like he's holding a "Wanted"-paper, or some printplate that splinters by his force... Let the creativity roll!

Looks very good! I like it how you turned him around instead of making it a full copy of my tutorial ^^
Though i'd have 1 suggestion, which is to add a border or do some blending on the edges to give your 'plate' a bit of depth.
But very good job

First you need to make a new layer, then go Image -> Apply Image
it should work just fine..

Here is my attempt.

I managed to find the same Torak picture but the bottom claws made it look wrong so I just erased them.

Nice outcome ^^
A suggestion: Maybe you can try to get his bottom-jaw teeth to the front. In my own tutorial my sig was a bit too big to do this. But since yours is slightly smaller u can always try
Oh and I saw your description, can you link my tutorial instead of 'a tutorial' to here?
Thx

Looks awesome dude!
It's cool you worked with the same renders, though it's always more enoyable to see people use "my technique" but like.. in their own way.
Try use this feature with other renders, other image setup etc.. You'll get there
Let me know if you got something new

Very nice very nice! Personally I think u might have tried to make the sig 'crack' in the middle.. like the dinosaur was pulling it apart. I think that would give an awesome effect!
Thx for the Comment and for posting ur outcome!

yeah this one is pretty "Easy" to pull off...
A lot of 1st timers are likeing it a lot on the other forums where I posted it. I'm really shocked some of the big time artest that I know, didn't know how easy it is to do...
I really like yours cuz it takes it to another level...

Pwn4g3r In reply to Maj-Zero [2009-01-27 14:03:06 +0000 UTC]
I just looked at yours, well, it's the same outcome, different steps to get there It's explained a bit easyer, but "problem" is that your pathway is a bit narrow. You can only use those steps to make a popout signature where u 'stick' the render on top of it and make it pop out at some sides. Your technique doesn't allow to 'interact' with the signature as mine does (it "holds" the siggy).
Everyone does it his/her own way. The only thing we can do is explain what the possibility's are
I lso post my tut's on forums, but with this one i got a lot of ppl saying "this shit looks awesome, but its over my head for now.. I need to master my basic skills more before going for this tut."
Then again, your tutorial makes it easyer for starters to get a popout effect!

yeah, It's not in full detail on how to make a signature, blending, lightning etc... it's just the basic. It's really for peeps that know how to make a sig, and then do something say on the next level... yours on the other hand is about 3 or 4 levels up lol... Like is said b4, I never thought of doing it that way... I guess there realy is an endless amount of things that we can do.
