Description I did not sculpt this.  It is a rare model kit that I have assembled and painted.  So happy to finally have this one in our collection.

Damn good sculpt. It even has a Tail, despite many other "Hollyweird" movies depict them not having them. Good work!

Hi there,  this is a model kit that I bought.  I did not sculpt this only put it together and painted it.  I agree, I really like werewolves with tails.  The sculpt was really beautiful though, this guy is one of my favorites!

Haha yeah, mostly.  Thanks! I sculpt some little additions and heads and bases and things sometimes but never a full kit...  yet.  Someday I will probably do one of my own though.

Cool. I'll look forward to it.

Hopefully one day, Hollywood will consider on giving Werewolves their Tails back, since it's a very beautiful design on them. like these statue sculpts here:

Yeah but I'd just be satisfied if they start putting actual 2 legged monsters in there instead of just giving an actor yellow contacts and sideburns or putting a regular 4 legged wolf and saying it's a werewolf.

Arg, I've always hated those. Too damn lazy for the artists.

Yeah, they're the worst.  Cheap movie productions.  Why bother to make a monster movie if you're not gonna go all out for the monster?

Maybe it's for budget & time constraints, but I'll just blame laziness.

Unfortunately it is really hard to find.  I had been looking for it for a few years and just got really lucky one day and scored it on eBay.

Is there anywhere to buy this kit still?

No, it's been OOP for quite a while.  I got lucky and snagged this one off eBay, but I was shocked when I saw it up there.  It's pretty hard to find, so if you ever do come across one somewhere, get it while you can!

ah no, i will have to keep an eye out on ebay then, would i just type 'dinnertime werewolf model' in then or?  If not i will have to make the model myself from polymer clay

Yeah that's what I'd try.  You're probably better off just making your own if you are able to.

Japanese resin kits are something else when you get them painted & put together.

Oh I didn't know he was Japanese.   It was a beautiful sculpt though, so much detail!  Thanks for commenting

I wasn't so sure myself, but I've seen Japanese-origin monster kits that were a lot like it. I haven't followed that type of model in years, I am lucky to get my Gunpla done well usually.

I know a lot of the really good Predator kits come from over there, and I have seen some other really cool monsters and Hellraiser stuff too.  I'm not sure about this guy though.. I think he's from the US.

I do remember now about some resin kit makers in the USA. Impressive then, I feel a little national pride coming on.

Thanks a lot   Yours is nice too.  I like how you did the base and the eyes.  I think you're probably the only other person who could rival my fiance's werewolf model collection lol.  You have a few that we don't have yet, and we have a couple I haven't seen on your page either.

fmtris [2014-01-29 01:52:00 +0000 UTC]

Ah cool.  I have seen this kit before but the paint scheme was rather dark so I really like that you chose to use the grey coloration.  It really allows the detail on this to show.  I actually didn't think the kit was this good until I saw your version of it.

pyro-helfier In reply to fmtris [2014-01-29 02:49:23 +0000 UTC]

Thanks so much!  That is a really nice compliment.  Yeah the detail in the sculpt was insane!  Up close, the skin even had texture that looked like pores and stuff.  The paint scheme was inspired by the grey werewolf in Van Helsing.

Thanks   It's been out of production for a long time.  We'd actually been trying to find one for years, we just happened to get lucky and come across an unbuilt one.  You're right, it was a lot of fun to paint though!

Well you never know-  maybe someday they will re -issue it.  That does happen sometimes with old kits.  We can only hope!  IF that ever happened I would definitely try to snag a 2nd one too!
