Description
A kit of William from Underworld from Dead End Resin, sculpted by Mark VanTine. Built and painted by me. This sculpt is meant to have an open mouth, I was asked to turn it into more of a closed snarl. So everything under the chin to the neck, and part of the face had to be resculpted in order to make the bottom jaw fit. I painted it in such a way that the skin would still be visible through the places where the fur should be thin. I also added various bullets and casings onto the base for that true Underworld effect. In person he has a very realistic almost albino translucenty skin quality and nice blue undertones in his fur that unfortunately just does not translate well in photos.More pics from different angles and close-ups can be found on Facebook here- www.facebook.com/media/set/?se…

That is awesome. such detail, I love the way the veins on his hands are bulging, it makes him look really mad.

This is a lot of great detail. He kind of reminds me of Skyrim werewolves, but more importantly, this makes me wish they had more practical effects in Underworld Evolution and that William had more screen time.

Oh I didn't sculpt him, it's a resin model kit that I put together and paint. Sometimes I sculpt elements of them but I haven't sculpted a full figure all my own yet.

I'm a big horror fan, and my fiance is a total werewolf nut. We collect monster models, and have an especially big werewolf collection. Pretty much any werewolf stuff I can get my hands on I will snatch up. Plus I love William's design- if the rest of the werewolves in the Underworld series looked like him it would definitely move up the list! I just think there are better werewolf movies out there like Dog Soldiers or Bad Moon.

That's awesome! My best friend is CRAZY for the horror genre but admittedly i (for the most part) can't stand it! I just get scared so easily xD But I do love Underworld!! The werewolf in American Werewolf in London just cracked me up! It was like a little weasel! Van Helsing had some pretty good werewolves. Never seen Dog Soldiers or Bad Moon, what are they about?

Ah... you are the type of person I like to watch horror movies with then. I'm a total horror nut, but I don't scare easily but I do like to terrify my friends lol. It's always more fun to have someone you can jump scare while they watch. IE "I'm gonna go grab some more popcorn brb" and then you sneak outside and bang on the windows lol. Dog Soldiers is a British movie about soldiers vs werewolves. Bad Moon is about a German Shepherd protecting his family from a werewolf. Both have werewolves of the 2 legged variety that look pretty cool. Both take place mostly in or around one house a la Dawn of the Dead style.

Hahaha NICE! I love to scare people, but usually not in that kind of setting lol I just hide around corners and behind doors and things like that xD Although if I'm watching a movie and I know something's coming up that'll make you jump, I'll scare them then too. Ooh those sound cool, particularly the second one. Are they like horror horror or Underworld horror or somewhere in-between?

Hmm IDK I'm not a very good judge of things like that. I would say that Dog Soldiers is more scary/bloody so maybe start with Bad Moon. That one's not real scary, they used to play it on TV a lot back in the day.

Oh haha. Well I didn't find Underworld scary I just thought it was totally action-packed Lol I looked them up and I've seen a few other werewolf movies so I should be okay XD Have you seen Werewolf The Beast Among Us or the new Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins?

Lol right! Actually in the way of special effects I thought Wolfman wasn't nearly as good (they look like they belong in a freaking boy band xD) and American Werewolf in London was even worse hahaha!

Actually I was thinking of The Beast Must Die... but still lol. I actually like the special FX in AWiL for the time they were really good. I agree with you about the new Wolfman though- it would have been better if they used less of the computer effects and just stuck with the practical stuff.

Never seen that one. Well for the time yeah but now I just think the werewolf is tiny and looks like a rabid weasel xD Yeah well that and the torn clothes add a certain rock-band quality that is not very frightening. If a werewolf has torn clothes, they should be nearly shredded, not almost perfectly intact lol I just don't think perfectly clothed werewolves are as scary or even intimidating

Lol yeah when they show him running he does kind of come off that way. I don't like clothes on werewolves like that either. Well they were trying not to stray to far from the original Wolfman's look so I can see why they did it- and I guess they did a good job of trying to make a more current version of that movie which wasn't scary in the least. As a werewolf movie it's really bad, but as a remake of "The Wolfman" it's not really that bad. I don't like my werewolves wolfmanny anyway. I like them big, scary, hairy and bipedal. Have you seen Cursed? That was a pretty good werewolf movie.

Haha well i think so. I suppose so when you put it that way. I prefer werewolves very wolfish although bipedal, and scary. Like Underworld or Van Helsing or something like that, they look ridiculous with clothes. I haven't what's that a bout?

It came out like 7ish? years ago. It's about this brother and sister who hit "a big animal" while driving home one night in California and people are being torn apart and they think it's a bear even though the dude says it looked like a wolf cause there are no wolves in CA... Um it kind of reminds me of the Lost Boys a little bit but with werewolves instead of vampires?

Lmao... you are making me feel old. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. It's from the mid 80's, it's really good and it's about vampires- that's pretty much all you need to know.

Haha it's ok. Yeah you can find it really cheap on dvd or bluray in a lot of places now. I think they have it in the Walmart $5.oo bin sometimes or it's on some of those 3 movies in one between $7-10. Definitely worth picking up.
