This was a mix of Belton Molotow and Montana Gold. I also use Mtn94, Beat, and Clash.

does it really matter if the paint is meant for other surfaces or that they aren't supposed to be used for art? How much would you say each can cost on average :/ ?

You can use about any kind of spray paint for this art. The ones I listed are acrylic and work on most materials. I have used rustoleum and krylon, but the results and color selections are not as good.

Cost of cans depend on how close you live to a large distributor. Since the cans are pressure vessels, they have to be shipped hazardous ground. I live very close to ArtPrimo and can pick up from their retail shop.

I pay about $5 per can except for Montana Gold which is near $10. I try not to use the Gold as much for the cost. Each can will last a long time if you don't use a bunch for each layer.
