Well you should be able to right click and duplicate it, or drag the "moon layer" to the "new layer" and it should duplicate it <3

oh i see isee.
should I color my moon white before using the Saturation?? And is the moon layer 2 is when you start making shadows for the moon?

Yeah that sounds about right.
If it doesnt look right, try messing with some of the layer settings. "Colour Darken" or "Screen" or "Overlay" Generally look pretty good
