He is. It's a shame that JKR didn't make him mature and grow like Harry and Hermione did. He had so much potential in the first book, with his loyalty and gift for strategy. Yes, he was a prat, but he was 11. Not so forgivable to be a prat when you are 17 by abandoning your friends when they need you most, and then as an adult confunding a driving instructor and threatening to disown your daughter if she makes friends with a Slytherin. What a horrid fellow!

Yeah! I cannot agree more! Those are the things I don't like about the story. Then, cheating is fine, abandoning your friens, is ok, and threat your kids like that! So, all those years of war meant nothing for him! I still cannot believe Hermione married him!

Neither can I! JKR really tried to shoehorn the characters back into the epilogue she had written right at the beginning of the series, and didn't care that her characters had grown beyond their original destinies. As long as Harry had his OBHWF. ~barf~
I have many, many problems with the resolution of the series and the morality it depicts, which are too tl;dr to go into right now.
