This has been sitting on my hard drive as a halfway done lineart fro ages. I'd intended to sell some Doctor Who badges at AZ this year, but alas school got in the way. Damn school
So I just kind of went "aw, f*ck it" and finished.
By the way, NO TRACING 8D I am immensly proud of myself. Seriously, I think my ego is pouring out through my ears.
The only problem with no tracing is that Ten up there looked like Toby Turner for the longest time. I still think he does.
*sigh* now to finish the Eleventh Doctor. DAYUM Matt Smith is hard to draw for some reason. I can paint him with values, but not lines. I really hope the shading will help x.x

Haha his shoes are supposed to be white, but he wore red ones once and I like red better! Plus I have some red Converses that I love to pieces, and they made pretty good references.

Actually, I had the most trouble with his eyes and mouth. For once I actually nailed his nose shape on my first go, but I'm afraid I can't say the same for the rest of him.

Its the angles of his face that sucks! and his eyes are deeply set in and the fact he has almost no eyebrows! Every time i try i get Frankenstein's monster. and see i've seen alot of other people tooo. meh Post it anyways! you can always redo it latter.

I found that my biggest problem was with his eyes and mouth. I was tempted to draw his eyes the way *Girl-on-the-Moon does, but I don't want to copy her style. Plus, it's good practice.
I made two, so I'll post the one I like best and try to fix the other one.

Yeah i can see the appeal. This is awesome. You can still copy i at 1st and then try and make it your own (meaning change it a bit so its similar but different) welll i want ta see!!

Oh i see! I f i may make a few suggestions? if you lengthen his face maybe you'll get what your looking for? Matt Smith not only has no eyebrows he has a LONG face Like supa chin and forehead. Thats whta his face is made up mostly.

I'll give it a shot. Though really his face shape isn't the problem as much as his eyes and mouth are. Plus, he's got very heavy shadows in his eye sockets and under his cheekbone, and he has a pretty full lower lip. I have to do a lot of playing with shadows before I get anything remotely satisfying.

It's funny, 'cause I usually don't like facial hair. It's a rare guy that I like with a moustache and/or a beard. I think all two of the guys they're attractive on are Johnny Depp and freaking Ezio Auditore da Firenze (and I still prefer the way he looked in the first half of ACII).
And don't get me started on long, untied hair on dudes.
