I've decided that Toria doesn't have enough (any) aquatic creatures. So here be one! It's like a humungo whale/manatee/tadpole/crocodile.Enjoy!
Whaleykins needs a legit name. First one to come up with BOTH a good common name and scientific name gets a free sketch! GOGOGO

Hexcetus Saurimar- "6 limbed whale lizard of the sea," (though you may need to slip the word for foot in there or something. I think it's "pod.)

Common name: Hexcetus, a common name that one of the local tribes (if there are any) that sound really cool, Paddletail, Sievemouth, Seaworm, Sturgeon, Ambergris (though thats a name for a kind of unpleasant substance that comes from whale stomachs that they use for perfume), minke, Rorqus (for type of whale it resembles), basically taking any cool whale name and combining it with the name of a cool crocodile, uh... stuff.... That's all I got right now. If I had more information on description and behavior, I'd probably have stuff that sounds cooler, lol.

Just a side note, cause I forgot to mention it, I got the last part from the greek translation of crocodile: Krokodeilos - Kroko = Pebble (for a croc's skin), and Deilos = worm.

Okay, well I'm busy all day tomorrow, so it's unlikely I'll be on much. And I do have school, too. So if you can pick something random tonight, I'll draw it now and upload either tonight or tomorrow morning while I still have free time. If you send it on Sunday, it probably won't be until Friday that I can scan anything.

I think I'm just going to use Latin. Toria was originally an uninhabitable planet, but was relocated and terraformed by humans and variety of non-humans several thousand years prior to the crash landing of a genetic research vessel that is the starting point for the current Toria time frame. In simpler terms, yes.
I like the Greater Archeosaur one for a common name. Do those three scientific names have any meaning?

Maritimus is the only real word in there, and it's the species name for Polar Bears. Otherwise it was me being creative

Hmm, I'll think about it. Generally, though, a scientific name consists of the genus and species only. Ex, Red Wolf = Canis rufus
