So much for cutting back on fan art.If you haven't seen this Voltz episode , do yourself a favor and watch it. I know it's long, but my god is it worth it. My sides. Gone.
Also, yet again I uploaded this to tumblr and immediately realized it wasn't actually finished. I think it might be finished now, but I'll probably spot something I desperately need to fix in about 15 minutes or so. That's the way it usually goes.

Now you just need to do Lewis, Simon and Duncan crawling through Ridge's crumbling, heavily-irradiated base at the end of the Voltz series.

I'll be doing more paintings as things happen, for sure! I feel like I've sort of missed the window of opportunity for the Voltz thing, but I may still do it. Hell, I'm actually planning to rework this painting too.

WOW. I've been meaning to catch up on their voltz series, I'm glad I saw this haha. That was probably the best thing I have seen from the yogscast since they first started israphel, the three being rendered speechless by the last explosion was absolutely priceless.
Great job here with this piece, you captured the entire thing quite well. xD

The detail in this is amazing. From the grass being pulled towards it, to the tiny streaks of lightning hitting the rocks, to Sjin holding only Sips' arm. It's just fantastic.

Well, if I started describing how much I love this, I would run out of adjectives.
I love the style you've used in this, and the soft shading is something I'm absolutely in love of.
The scene is very dynamic, and you can just see the motion and the world being sucked down into the abyss created by the bomb.
It's the end of the world alright. No wonder they panicked.
(Sips and Sjin made me giggle. xD Poor Sips doesn't stand a chance.)

Same brush I used for the majority of the painting. I don't know what exactly it is, I'm afraid. It was a slightly textured round brush of some sort.
