Description WARNING: HUGE FILE
-------
The tall grass whispered softly as I pushed through it, sounding abnormally loud in the dead silence enveloping the eternal tan-ness of the wheat. Aside from the grass disturbed by my passage, the landscape was calm, still, unmoving. The clouds, colored the same sepia as the rest of the dismal world, moved so slightly as to be hardly noticeable. As my gaze lowered from the dull heavens, it alighted on a spot of darkness--difference--in the distance. I pressed on, eager to gain respite from the sameness of my boundless prison.

The tower was immense, at least twenty grown men could link hands around it. Its base was elliptical, and very solid in appearance. Despite its size, the tower had no doors or windows. In fact, it was completely featureless apart from its luminous blue stripes extending from top to bottom on both sides. Even more unusual than the tower's luminescence was its ability to......move. Slowly it swayed, like a tall tree in a gale, but slowed down many times. One would expect such a monument to creak, but like the surrounding landscape, it was utterly silent. Its lazy ripples hypnotized me, causing me to have to shake myself to clear my vision. Its peak was almost out of sight, but somehow did not reach the deceivingly far away clouds. It was clearly constructed by some long-gone race, but seemed organic somehow. Almost alive.

The swaying structure was not alone. Many others like it marked the landscape, seemingly scattered randomly about the tan hills, swaying like so many languid tentacles.

I walked on. Through the swaying remnants of a lost civilization, back out into the land of the dead silence, the calm before a storm that would never come.

Okays.

This is from a dream I had a while back. It was a long time ago, but I tried.

This was mostly just brush practice. The only brushes I used were *sandara 's hard brush and the default round brushes that come with PS.

All things considered, this came out pretty nice. I especially like those clouds. They r prty.

So yeah, more coming later, probably. That was one hell of a dream, and I remember pretty much all of it.

Here's the same thing done by *DanilLovesFood He really nailed it. Like, WAAAY better than I did.

Show some love!
---EDIT
For those of you who are curious about my whole dream, here it is. I know it's long but bear with me.
-Started off on a snow covered hill with big round holes in the snow. There were people around the holes for some reason. They attacked us (I remember there being another person at this point, though I don't know who) and we jumped in a car and sped off down a fairly normal-looking mountain roadway.
-We passed under a bridge, and then I was standing with a group of children on a brick pathway (nothing in between, I guess it was some portal or other...). At this point, I felt...captive, I guess. It was dark, but the sky was lit in shades of tan and brown, like the sky above the towers. Buildings made of the same red brick lined the left side of the path. They looked like buildings in an old city market, but their windows were dark and the street lamps were all off. To the right stretched a field as far as the eye could see. It was all short, neatly cut grass, but with no lawnmower striping. From here, I could see the towers in the distance. They looked closer here, but disappeared as I reached the wheat.
-The wheat scene was what you saw described in the picture, so not much else to say about that.
-Just as I passed the last tower, I found myself running through the town on the water. I had company again, though I only felt one or two people with me. We were running down a white concrete quay at the edge of the glass-smooth water. There were white concrete buildings to our right. They were dark, but the street lights were on this time. The ground was also dark, but with a lit sky, just like the brick town. To our left was a wide canal and on the other side were the inflated blue sea mammals. The whole scene gave off this feeling of being violated, and we were the violators, escaping from some unseen foe.
-We reached the end of the quay and found a small vehicle, like a jet ski, but much skinnier and capable of flight. I got on, but my companions stayed behind. I flew off over the water and across the mammals....
-....and then I was flying under a bridge (or through a tunnel). There were cars below be, but they seemed transparent, ghost-like. Then the scene switched again.
-I was in what appeared to be the front of a run-down mall. I was under a concrete awning, which was good, because it was raining heavily outside. The walls were concrete and covered with graffiti, and the ground was covered with trash and muck. There was one sliding glass door. This I went through.
-Inside was very small and looked like the interior of an adobe mud hut. Its walls were painted red and it had two levels with a staircase in between. In the middle of the floor was a red, black and white idol of the feudal Japanese persuasion. It seemed alive somehow, so i avoided it.
-Upstairs there were lots of people sitting on a bench that went around the room. Some of them felt hostile to me and some felt welcoming, but all of them felt familiar. Behind me was a metal bridge like the ones at airports. When I tried to enter it, all of the people in the room tried to stop me. I fought back, but when I hit them, they just disappeared. Even though my way was now clear, I did not take the bridge.
-When I went back downstairs, the idol was gone, and in its place was a concrete slab with a boy lying on it. There was an angel with black wings next to the slab grieving as if at a funeral. He (or she) seemed transparent like the cars under the bridge, and disappeared when i came closer. The boy on the slab felt devoid of life, but he spoke to me. I didn't hear what he said, but it felt important, sad, longing, hopeful, and full of regret. I tried to pick him up, but he was heavy, and his skin was ice-cold and burned my skin. Then, a new person came in and I woke up.

So there you have it, my crazy, fantastic night. I will try to never forget it, as it has changed my imagination by a huge margin.

Very Nice, and an interesting dream. I once had a somewhat similar dream. For me there were several (i want to say six or seven) big black spires lined up in a row in a long straight forest clearing.
The spires had very ornate carvings on them, and at the end of the clearing was a huge black bridge with the same carvings. It was very creepy, and i had the feeling i shouldn't have been there seeing these things.

I've had a few weird dreams... One of em had something to do with Halo ODST guys, my classmates from the 3 high schools I went to, and zombies.... AND some factory. I really want to paint all that someday, haha!

I love trying to paint my dreams. The bit that happened after the tower part of the dream was in a futuristic but uninhabited town on the water. The strange things about it were the glass-smooth water and......giant blue inflatable sea mammals. I don't know.

haha, interesting... I'd love to have seen that part. At least it wasn't all nightmarish.

I almost died in my dream... damn zombies... Those things creep me out when they get too close. They killed my classmates... And then there was the Flood. It was just all too weird. X_x

I'm going to try and paint my dream the moment I get a wacom pad... I want to try digital painting!

Well, my dream didn't end to well either. It was all surreal like I was describing for the most part. I still remember the whole thing, so I'll give you a bulleted list of how it went as far as I remember.

Woahh.... that was interesting. Way different than mine would have turned out!

I typed up 2 of my crazy dreams. Both involved guns and my past classmates... for some odd reason. Stupid school is haunting my sleep, I swear!! LOL

Lol I'm kind of glad school isn't haunting me. I often see my friends and teachers, though. My boyfriend shows up alot in my dreams, but for some reason I can never see him very well. But hey, that's cool. It's nice to have familiar faces in surreal environments like the one I just described.

Speaking of horror movies, why the hell did they make so many Saw movies? I mean talk about wearing something down to the bones.

I have NO idea.... because they still had ideas for traps then?.... I wanted to see the 6th one for the traps. I liked Kramer's reasoning behind what he did.

Supposedly, there's supposed to be one or two more left. There's only so many types of traps you can make as punishment. x_x

Yes and no. It was funny cuz I started shouting out Bible Scriptures and it seemed to work for awhile although it seemed like he was being tickled to death rather than tortured (well I suppose tickling can be a torture method ). Then he stopped attacking me and we sat down, and talked (I think had a cup of coffee too). After that, he surrendered and vanished. Then I woke up...lol

wow...
