Description
The first one in a series of Power Rangers 1st Season redesigns, which is based on an idea I had for a more serious Power Rangers series/movie (heavily influenced by Guyver, Evangelion, Garo and Kamen Rider the First).

The basic jist is that a long ago crashed Bio Computer (or BioC) named Zordon has awaken recently, and attracted the attention of one of it's enemies, Rytea (a space witch that hates Zordon for some reason, though for what reason...?).
He selects five random teens, kidnaps them and then proceeds to augment them with alien cyborg technology, so that he has guardians to protect himself with. Some of the Rangers accept this and some don't, leading to conflict between them while they try and stop Rytea from destroying Zordon.
Later on they also find out that they can mutate their powersuits into animal-based technorganic monsters (Zord mutations) for a brief period of time, and that they can also fuse all of them into one collective minded powerfull being, the Mega Zord.

Meet Jason. An arrogant but kindhearted jockey who practiced martial arts, who has a strange love/hate friendship with the more nerdy Billy. He was one of the more popular kids in his school and commanded great respect from his peers.

Of course, that changed when Billy and he were selected by the Bio-Computer Zordon and taken from their homes while they slept. He spend the next few days in a stasis tube, the BioC augmenting his body with alien cyborg technology.

When he woke up he found himself stronger and faster then ever before, but was tasked against his will with the leadership over the other Rangers during their training. However, he was surprised to see that it came naturally to him, though he later found out that it was because of the augmentation, and not a natural skill.

He is one of the Rangers who has chosen to accept the augmentations and the task given to him by Zordon, though mostly because he knows that it's just until they defeat the one trying to destroy Zordon. The one only known as the space witch, Rytae Reapulsar.
