Description
This is a critter designed for 's contest.The contest rules are simple: Read Allison's mind. She provides a list of words. We come up with what we think she was thinking when she typed those words. I chose "Leragator" and made for her a big bug with teeth.
...Have I ever mentioned how much I like sharp teeth?
Anyway, here it is, the Leragator. I made this with Micron pens. Believe it or not, I find full-color cross-hatching to be far more tedious than all of that work I do with colored pencils.

Wow... It looked like a combination of shrimp and a bug head. Still, very cool! The coloring is redish and blue. A very good combination of deep sea red alert.

Ahah! So your name and style ARE familiar! I apparently already faved this a long while back, so it's obvious how much I appreciate this design. Anything overly buggy is awesome in my book, and the colors are just godly. ;]

hehe i usually don't enjoy fantasy monster type stuff, but this one almost seems like something that could very possibly be alive in our oceans... some sort of fiercely predatory crustancean.... anyway, i love it

I really like your gallery, you are an excellent illustrator. I personally like your ink works more than the watercolor/colorpencil ones, but my you sure knows how to use colorpencils beautifully!

I do lots of different kinds of art because I know that different people like different mediums. I still think that colored work is my stronger suit, but my inking work is finally starting to catch up. I'm glad you approve!

See now thats just frightening. Brilliantly designed and coloured, yet really frightening. Very bug like, reminds me a lot of your Hive: Quen and COuntry project in some ways. I dont know why but the "gator" made me think reptile, and then "lera" just confused me

when i tried my first crosshatching it was 5 hours on a cartoony dragon 2 years ago....i never tried it again.....i might with another one i made.....
i thought it was a shrimp with big teeth and hundreds of legs! but its a bug......
thats-a-lots-o cross hatching! hurt your hand? the colours are cool, we learns to bled (i already knew) the primary and seconday in art today! looks alot like the colours we made.....i liek the leragator! but "gator" sound like an allagator ........
