This picture is dedicated to , who is doing her own version of this rawkin' cool idea. I mean, c'mon! These are two of the baddest boys on the galactic block. We knew that sooner or later it would come down to competition between them. Who will win, and who will survive? It's a tough call!Done with ink, watercolor and Prismacolor pencils
I'm particularly pleased with this piece for a number of reasons:
1) Riddick's anatomy was tremendously fun to draw and shade. I love the trapezius, triceps and deltoid muscle groups, and I rarely get to do such a lovely shot of them like this.
2) I managed to color an entire picture without using ANY flourescent color effects. Look! LOOK! Earth tones! OMGSQUEE!

This is incredible work...love every little detail form the motion lines to the little "Oh F#$K!" mark above Riddicks head as he narrowly misses getting slashed. Still my money's on Riddick. However, if I would there, I would try to convice them and all thier hotness to just get along...and pose naked for me so I could...draw them...yes ...draw them .

The green tones on Riddick for shade and highlight are wonderfully done, and the speed effect for the Pred it still kickass.

If anything, I'd do a limited print run in the 8x10-inch size. I ususally do a run of 50, signed and numbered, and matted to 11x14 inches. Easy to frame and easy to ship.
I don't work through DA's print shop, because even if you have a print account, they keep 50% of the sales. Ridiculous! I prefer to do my own. If you want a print, drop me a note and we can discuss prices and make shipping arrangements.

Definitely worth the wait to see this piece finished! Awsome job, love the movement! I also think it's interesting you chose a back-shot of Riddick, and the way you composed it, it's still very plain who he is. :>

I saw the from-the-back pose in one of my anatomy books and just fell in love with the fellow's musculature. I knew there was no other way this would work - and besides, I've only rarely done a figure from the back, so this was a breath of fresh air. The fact that it still resembles Riddick was just a bit of luck.

Most of the bets are in Riddick's favor, but somehow that's not too surprising. He's The Riddick, after all. Wouldn't do to kill the baddest of the anti-heroes.
