^___^ Yaaaaay! New work! And, ironically, I just hit 30,000 So this piccie is dedicated to all those who've watched/commented/faved/yelled/spit/ate/smexed/fought and... Uh, wait, what was I talking about again? O_oOh yeah. XD
Sorry, my minds be dizzy from coloring this thing.
About this work now... It was created for a horror contest. Winner gets 50 bucks and a free table of the Horrific Film Fest happening here in San Antonio. *____* Sooo, the mission was to create a Gothic Queen. I'm pretty sure they wanted the garments black but... Ugh. That's typical, ain't? And I like color. T_THeh, I confess. I have a thing for the Goths. e__e Any time I see some person sporting Goth gear, whether it's with metal and studs or Victorian-style clothes, or just dark clothes, I blush.
I adore this style so this contest was really fun to participate in. 
Inspiration for this came from a mixture of things. But I was highly inspired by tattoo designs. Aside from getting rid of the usual black clothes, I also wanted to present my Goth Queen with a new hardedge spin, as opposed to the usual fluff-fluff we're used to seeing. >_> And what the hell, seeing as this was for a horror contest, I wanted to make people a bit unsettled looking at this chica. Even when she's staring away and you're free to look at her, that large kitchen knife pretty much tells you a bit about her.

The pixelation, in particular, annoys me when I want to see someone's work. :/ It takes a goooooood while for the picture to become clear. This sucks because the average person checking out work doesn't want to spend a minute or two waiting for something to show online.
Heh, thank you! I'm pretty proud of the colors here myself. I've been making more of an effort in creating good contrast along with a tighter color palette these days.

Art is coming along kinda slow. Haven't been in the mood for doing much lately, but I should pick it up eventually. Too lazy to go riding up hills at the moment

Yaaaaay! I'm glad you love the outfit! I'm not a fashion designer, but I'd like to think my designs were cool enough to like. I'm an in-the-closet Goth, I think. Meaning, I rarely go out and wear Goth clothes. Perhaps at conventions, but never at school. It only makes sense, then, to dress up my characters and make them wear the most bizarre but also beautiful clothes I'd personally would want to wear.

Heh, there are so many levels of irony in this image, I can't list them all.
The other thing that immediately caught my attention is slightly controversial. At least in the religious sense. I won't get into that, though. >_>
But yes, this image is really full of irony, which I really love and hope people get. It's funny, though. I had originally wanted to just come up with an illustration. However, I felt guilty in doing that. I can't just draw something and not have it say something. I guess it's in my blood to try to make my art, not only cool-looking, but also meaningful.

Tee! I'm extremely pleased to read this comment. And you're right, it's got a semi-retro/victorian feel to it. I noticed in Goth, there's Victorian. But rarely will you find anything bright and punk about it. It's got a punk vibe. Of course, my inspiration had also come from tattoos. They're all about bright colors. It was really fun combining these styles together to produce this. Makes me want to make a series of pin-up Goth girls even.

Its a great combination- I'd love to see some more in this style. There's something quite disturbing about it that smacks of the abandoned British seaside- punch and judy shows and all that slightly weird Victorian entertainment. Also- anything that manages to combine well a colour scheme of bright pink and green is a definite win.
